A few years ago, a message on LinkedIn led me to helping a school in Uganda with branding and a website. Since then, I’ve visited the school, met the children and teachers, and seen firsthand the incredible work they do for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Right now, the school is facing an urgent crisis.

Due to new government building regulations, parts of the school are at risk of demolition unless safer permanent classrooms can be built.

If action isn’t taken in time, 420 children could lose access to their education and the stability the school provides.

We’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to help build a safe permanent school for the children.

We’ve smashed our goal! 💛

This all started with a simple mission:
Give 3 pairs of reusable period pants to each of the 76 girls at Amatsiko School in Uganda — so they could stay in school with dignity and confidence.

Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, and the incredible support of Kelly Newton at Body, we’ve now raised enough to support 220 women and girls — not just in the school, but across rural communities too.

Special shout out to Pagliarulo and the amazing women at Connect & Collaborate Ladies Surrey, who’ve been fundraising to help us go even further 💕

We’ve hit a huge milestone – and I couldn’t be more grateful.

We’re now 71% of the way to our fundraising goal, and thanks to the incredibly generous support of Kelly Newton, founder of Nixi Body, we’ve officially secured enough period pants for all 76 girls at Amatsiko School.

Each girl will receive three reusable pairs, giving them the freedom to stay in school every day of the month with dignity, comfort and confidence.

But we’re not stopping there.

Now, we’re working to get as many pairs as possible into the hands of women and teenage girls across rural communities, where access to period care is still limited - and the need is just as urgent.

Every extra pound raised will help us reach more people.

I’d love your help with something close to my heart.

I’m fundraising to provide 76 schoolgirls in rural Uganda with washable, reusable period pants - so they can stay in school every day of the month, with dignity, confidence, and comfort.

In many rural communities, period poverty is a huge barrier to education.
Some girls miss school. Some drop out altogether. And even reusable pads can be out of reach - not just because of cost, but because in some households, girls need permission to use or wash them.

Period pants are a game changer.
They’re discreet, long-lasting, and easy to care for. And most importantly - they belong to the girl who wears them. No questions asked.

I’ll be visiting Amatsiko School in June to deliver the pants in person and meet the girls this fundraiser will support.
