New play equipment coming to Bratch Park, Wombourne soon!

🎉 Exciting News for Bratch Park! 🎉

We’ve listened to your feedback… and we’re delighted to announce that brand-new play equipment is coming to Bratch Park Play Area! 🌳🛝

We’re investing in exciting new additions to the park, alongside a donation from County Councillor Marie Shortland, including:

🏠 A brand-new toddler playhouse
♿ An inclusive swing
⚽ A static goal end

With the World Cup just around the corner, the new goal end will be arriving at the perfect time for all our budding footballers in the village! 🌍🥅⭐

Works are expected to begin during the week commencing 8th June and will take place Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

🚧 Temporary fencing will be in place around the work area to keep everyone safe, but access to the existing play equipment will remain available where possible.

We know the improvements may cause a little temporary disruption, but we hope you’ll agree it will be worth it once the new equipment is installed and ready to enjoy! 😊

Thank you to everyone who shared feedback with us and helped shape these improvements for local families and young people — we can’t wait to see the new equipment in use! 🌟

Sunday 7 June Open Farm Sunday at Lower Drayton Farm

🚜🌾 We’re taking part in Open Farm Sunday! 🌾🚜

Join us at Lower Drayton Farm on Sunday 7 June for a free, family-friendly event celebrating British farming and life on the farm.

Visitors can:

🚜 See a selection of Farmer Ray’s vintage tractors
🐮 Spot our Highland cattle in the field next door🌾 Hop on the farm trailer ride to see what’s happening around the farm
🌼 Our friends from M&S will be handing out free wildflower seeds for kids on the day
☕ Enjoy light refreshments available to purchase on the day

Entry to the Open Farm Sunday event is free, but spaces are strictly limited so advance online booking is essential.

We’ll also be taking cash bucket collections on the day for the brilliant Yellow Wellies campaign from the Farm Safety Foundation.

Please note: PLAY@ will be open as normal, but is not included with Open Farm Sunday. Separate PLAY@ tickets are required, and PLAY@ entry is only available to groups with at least one child aged under 16.

Join the fun this May Half Term and help us to celebrate Oak Apple Day by helping the Whitgreave family to get to King Charles II's birthday party! Saturday 23rd May to Sunday 31st May.

King Charles II is throwing a magnificent party to celebrate his birthday and his return to the throne, and he wants the brave Whitgreave family to join him. But disaster has struck - the Royal Messenger dropped the invitation, and the wind blew it into seven pieces which are hidden around the gardens.

Can you search the grounds, find the missing parts, and fill in the blanks so the family knows when and where the big celebration will be?

Trails can be purchased from Visitor Reception for 50p, with a sticker prize at the end.

Please note, normal admission costs apply, no booking required, children must be supervised at all times
