Is your website generating leads?

One key factor in generating leads from your website is your call to actions (CTAs). These play a fundamental part in the success of your website.

Take a look at these 7 tactics you can use to make the most of the CTAs on your website. By applying these 7 principles, you can start to increase the number of leads you generate from your website.

You don’t have long to grab the attention of your website audience, so ensuring your home page is geared for success is vital.

Here are my 5 elements that every home page must contain.

1️⃣ Clear and Compelling Call-to-Actions (CTAs)

Your home page must feature strategically placed CTAs that guide visitors towards taking specific next steps, such as:

✅ Getting a quote

✅ Making a purchase

✅ Booking a call

✅ Requesting a call back

✅ Signing up for a newsletter

✅ Booking a consultation

Once you have decided what call to actions you need on your website, then ensure you apply these principles:

Have at least 2 different call to actions on your home page

✅ Include them more than once

✅ Don’t make them boring (entice your audience and 'contact us' does not do this!)

✅ Make them visually appealing

2️⃣ Customer Proof

Having your happy customers shouting about how great you are is a must on your home page. Nothing boosts your credibility more than this.

You can:

✅ Showcase testimonials

✅ Feed reviews from platforms like Google

✅ Include links to case studies

✅ Feature video testimonials

Customer proof is a 100% must!

3️⃣ Engaging Visual Content

They say that you have between 3 and 5 seconds to grab the attention of your website visitor. That is not long!

One way to help do this is to focus on capturing attention with high-quality visual elements. Lots of websites now have banner videos on their home page, and this is the first thing people see when they arrive on the website.

Of course, high-quality images can also help achieve these. I am talking high-quality and not blurry photos from your iPhone or cheap stock images. Make sure you spend time getting the right images together that show you are a professional business delivering a high-quality product or service.

4️⃣ Make the main thing the main thing

Too many website home pages are overcomplicated. Not enough focus is given to making the main thing the main thing.

Ensure your website's home page clearly communicates what you are about. If you are selling shoes, then make it immediately clear that this is what you sell and make it easy for people to buy them. Your home page needs to help make this happen.

5️⃣ Navigation and User-Friendly Design

Google are putting more and more emphasis on the user journey on your website, and this all starts on the home page.

Ensure that you prioritise user experience by ensuring your home page features simple navigation, clear menu options, and a clean, organised layout.

✅ Don’t confuse with too many clicks

✅ The simpler the better

✅ Use white space to give a clean look and feel

✅ Make it super easy for people to contact you

✅ Again, make the main thing the main thing (keep it simple)

Please don’t cut corners when it comes to your home page.

Take a fresh look at your home page and see if these 5 key components are present. If not, look to get these improved or included.

There is no better day to take action than today

We are super proud to celebrate 11 years in business later this year. Longevity is an underestimated characteristic.

We are also proud of the long-lasting client relationships we have built over the years. Yes, of course now and again clients move on, but many of our clients stay with us over the long term.

In fact, many of our clients either have numerous websites with us or have had more than one website built. In other words, they keep coming back so we must be doing something right.

If you need assistance with a website project this year, get in touch.

Everything you post on social media for your business needs to come from one of four social pillars. It doesn’t matter whether it be LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook, nearly every post you put out to the masses will always fall under one of these pillars.

Let me introduce to you, the 4 social media pillars for every business.

1️⃣ Social Proof: Around 25% of your posts need to be demonstrating that you are good at what you do.

Proving you are getting results, and demonstrating the quality of your work is an essential social pillar that you need to utilise on your chosen social platforms.

2️⃣ Education: If you are a true expert in your industry and you know what you are doing – prove it. Social media is the perfect platform for you to demonstrate your knowledge and teach your audience key lessons from your industry.

3️⃣ Real life: The most ‘likes’ and ‘comments’ that you will receive from your followers will always be on your real-life posts. The day to day posts on your social platforms.

People are nosy.

They like to know what is going on.

Make sure that at least 25% of your posts are from this social pillar.

4️⃣ Sales: The complete opposite to a ‘real life’ post is a ‘sales’ post. These will be the posts that receive the least amount of likes and comments, but we still do them.

Post with confidence knowing you probably won’t get lost of interaction, but it does not matter, we are letting people know what we have available for when they are ready to buy.

Too many people give up because they are not getting what believe they should be getting. You are missing the point. Be consistent. Keep posting the right content from these pillars and you will start to see more success from your social media.

5 steps to raise your website bar in 2025👇

1️⃣ Focus on conversion
A website is no good if it's not converting. Focus on ways that you can lead your website visitors to actually become leads other than just another visitor.

2️⃣ Target locations
Use locational landing pages to target local areas where you want to do business. This can be a great way of attracting local leads.

3️⃣ Used focussed call to actions
Ensure your call to actions are focused and not generic. If your calls are simply 'Contact Us' or 'Enquire Now' you are losing out.

4️⃣ Improve your content
Work hard on going through your content and ensuring it's well-written, SEO-friendly and helpful to your audience. Too many people focus on good-looking websites at the expense of content.

5️⃣ Educate
Your website is an opportunity for you to display your knowledge and show what you know about your industry. Not only that it's content you can also share on social media as well as help you get found on search engines.

Towards the end of 2024 we launched a new website for the amazing Dogland.

After designing their initial website several years ago, they have seen significant growth and development over recent times which meant a new site was needed.

After putting together a detailed brief with their team we created and designed a new website to include new features, a fresh design, an e-commerce area and improved functionality.

Both Dogland and ourselves are super happy with the results.

4 mistakes to avoid on your business website 👇

1️⃣ Not keeping your site updated

Your website needs new content adding on a regular basis, if you don't do this then do not expect it to get great results.

2️⃣ Ignoring the need to add proof

Your website MUST contain proof from your customers that you are good at what you do.

3️⃣ Focusing all your attention on looks

The look of your website is important but it's not all about looks, don't become blind to other important factors.

4️⃣ Not optimising the site for Google

If you want to be found on Google, then ensure your website has been optimised on your keywords.
