Thank you for the opportunity and the incredible donation, all of which will be used for local people within our community 🩷💚

Last night I had the privilege of hosting and organising the third Worthing Community Awards in memory of Millie.

I’m not going to lie, this year nearly pushed me to breaking point on top of my normal workload, but every bit of stress was worth it. Spending the evening in a room full of such incredible people reminded me exactly why we do this.

I still haven’t added up how much we’ve raised for charity, and there are thousands of photos that I’ve been tagged in and sent, but this has to be my favourite so far.

This is Harley, our Young Achiever of the Year. Seeing young people recognised for the positive difference they make in our community is what these awards are all about.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, sponsored, nominated and helped make the evening such a success. Worthing really does have some amazing people.

On World Marketing Day, I’ve been reflecting on where it all started.

I began my career at Reed Business Information before moving on to the Argus newspaper, later working with a range of blue chip companies before eventually deciding to go self-employed.

I then bought The Best of Worthing — despite having no real connection to the town at the time — as some once reminded me !

Good marketing changes with the times. Experience is knowing what never changes — people buy from businesses and people they notice, trust and remember

30 years later, that still couldn’t be more true! I was also once told I could of been a singer
