Àṣàlẹwà Yoruba Learning Institute is a wonderful project and I was very excited to work on something so close to my heart from so many points of view. Understanding and speaking the language of the culture of our roots is indeed essential, as it not only fosters a deeper connection to our heritage and traditions but also enables us to preserve and pass on the unique values, customs, and wisdom that shape our identity and worldview. My latest project is a truly close-to-home one. The event that takes place every month in our dear Lle Hapus in Eagles Meadow, Wrexham, and brings together people who care about sustainability and find joy in swapping pre-loved clothes. The organizers, the volunteers and the loyal/brand new visitors all choose to care about their environment, refuse to support fast-fashion and might even have that spark of creativity to find and combine those truly unique pieces. A splendid community with great love for clothes! Keep up the amazing work and community spirit 👠👗👞👘♻️✅
