Time and tide wait for no woman.

How do you fill the container of your time?
What I have learnt about myself is how much time I have wasted on:

— Worry and analysis
— People who don’t value me
— Perfectionism and procrastination
— Chasing safety instead of joy
— Guilt in free time, slowing down
— People pleasing
— Not asking for help

Any of those sound familiar?

The tides change, we ebb and flow.
We can notice ‘energy leaks’ at any time and not swim against the tide, it’s futile and exhausting.

The moon governs the tides, the gravitational pull on a body of water. Our cells in the body are 70% water just like the earth is 70% ocean. Coincidence?! No, we are cells in the body of the universe ✨ 🌍 🤯

Today is new moon and I will be going in strong with my intentions about with who and where I choose to spend my energy. 🌙

That’s not a typo it’s Norwegian for hello!
I’m Becs, if we haven’t met before I’m currently obsessed with Norway 🇳🇴 and planning to visit the wolves at some point!

I love that forest, lake, wolf, eagle cabin vibe! That’s my happy place in the woods. Fairly confident I was Snow White crossed Pocahontas in a Disney past life.

I’m a brand and website designer but I would say I’m a storyteller first and foremost. I LOVE storytelling!

Obsessed with dark choc ginger stem biscuits, log fires 🪵 & dreamy candles.

Favourite yoga pose (I teach yoga here in York) is ‘Viparita Karani’ aka legs up the wall.

There are parts of you that don’t conform to societal norms, the part that longs for freedom. Freedom of expression, for the deepest parts of you to be witnessed, light and shadow.

What I guess I’m saying is your thoughts become your reality and your choices determine your destiny. If we can be more conscious in our day to day thoughts and choices we can influence the planet’s collective destiny.

Last week was all about ebb and flow for me.
This week with the full moon I’ve been guided to surrender, to get out of my own way to simply allow.

These lyrics by Alexa Sunshine Rose have been like a personal mantra as I’ve been letting go.

I release control
And surrender to the flow
Of love
That will heal me.

Here’s what Alexa said about her song:

I was walking in the forest at Breitenbush Hot Springs, pregnant with my first child and it came through as a little personal mantra, keeping me company as I walked. I didn’t think of recording it at that time, because it was “such a little song”. In 2012, I realized that I could sing it as a repeated mantra. Since then, it has gotten very popular in yoga, healing and meditation circles and I have heard many stories of people having powerful healing experiences while listening to the recording or singing it.

To think, I almost didn’t share it! I now use it as an example to share your gifts, no matter how “small” they think those gifts might be.

I want the receptive power of the Feminine to heal and guide us, personally and in our world communities. When we are surrendered to the flow of Love that is always present, we can allow healing to naturally come through us, “making right the path” inside and opening us to a world of peace and balance.
