This year, we're supporting the York Railway Institute as it celebrates 100 years of serving the York community.

With our annual Christmas donation, we're backing the campaign to raise £100k to secure the future of the Queen Street Sports Centre and enable the RI to continue providing affordable sports and recreation for all in York.

To celebrate the Railway Institute's place at the heart of community sport in York, 14-year-old Ned Tinkler has created this artwork of the building, which will be displayed at the RI.

We’re raising a glass (of Prosecco, of course 🥂) to not one, but two fabulous team members this week – Tinkler and Leanne Kirtley!

Karen is ringing in her milestone 50th year in style, with a calendar full of holidays, getaways, and celebrations. And naturally, we were first in line to kick things off with a team lunch complete with balloons, cake, and bubbles. 🎈🍰

Leanne shares a special connection with Partners PR – she was born the very same year the agency was founded. A true original! (Curious what year that was? It’s on our website..)

Partners account director Hannah has been at the Court of Appeal this week supporting our client, Switalskis, on a media strategy around a landmark Court of Appeal ruling.

This historic decision has been 20 years in the making for Switalskis, and far longer for their client, Peter Sullivan, who has been freed this week following almost four decades in prison.

It is thought to be the longest running miscarriage of justice in British history.

Getting the band back together...

We're very excited to welcome Leanne Kirtley back from maternity leave this week. As is customary, part of that welcome had to involve food.

Smiles all round in the office today, and not just because there's cake.

We're proud to have completed our CPD for another year to remain a team of Chartered Institute of Public Relations accredited PR practitioners 🙌 (with one interloper…we’ll let you decide which one).

This basically means that in between the work we do for our clients, we make time to stay up to speed with what's changing in our industry so clients benefit from the latest PR thinking and best practice.

Teams that can build flat pack furniture together, stay together…

It’s a year since we signed up to the Good Business Charter and we’re big believers in actions speaking louder than words. So, we decided to do something to mark the Charter’s Good Business Fortnight (3-14 February), which is all about showcasing how businesses can contribute positively to society.

Little did we know what we were letting ourselves in for!

Through employee volunteering charity York Cares we spent a morning at The Place, a local community hub in York that provides activities for children, young people and adults.

Our mission was to build flat pack furniture for newly created quiet spaces in the centre. We’re a strong team, but would the pressures of flat pack furniture assembly break us? 😮

Absolutely not. We made it through and, The Place now has bookcases and tables to furnish its newly decorated spaces.

Partners director Monica says, “It was fantastic to get involved in Good Business Fortnight and support The Place with a morning’s volunteering. We’re big believers in the power of collaboration and giving back to support the city we call home.”

This week, we’re celebrating director Karen Tinkler’s 25th anniversary at Partners 🙌

Since joining as a young whippersnapper back in 1999, Karen’s time at the agency has seen her work with clients ranging from food coating manufacturers to Vikings; divorce lawyers to window hardware firms. She has chaired a global PR agency network and held various voluntary board roles.

The last 25 years have also seen Karen’s role evolve from account executive to business owner, buying the agency as part of an MBO team in 2006 with Monica.

Congratulations, Karen! Here’s to many more successful years to come.

We're thrilled to be counted among the Top 50 Agencies in the North of England in the Prolific North 2024 rankings. As well as hitting the Top 50, we’re flying the flag for York as the only agency in the city to feature in this year's list.

We were truly honoured to receive a Golden Moments Award from employee-volunteering charity York Cares for providing pro bono PR support for almost 20 years.

Monica and Joe joined more than 90 people from over 20 York businesses and community partners to celebrate the impact of employee-volunteers in the city over the last year.

It was lovely to see BBC Radio York's Elly Fiorentini interviewing the award winners and hearing all their stories and achievements in the stunning head office premises of Aviva, with York Minster in the background.

Well done to all the winners!
