York Army Museum - New Client Website

I really should have posted this a long time ago. Anyway, after some inevitable delays due to COVID19, we launched the new website for York Army Museum back in July 2021. I have always had an interest in military history and it was a privilege to be approached by the museum and asked to help build their new website. They were looking for a design that was easy to navigate, easy for users to find what they were looking for across all devices, and was easy for the staff to update event and news information themselves. As well as all the usual visitor information, the site has a news 'blog', an events calendar and a fantastic 3D virtual tour courtesy of Immersive Tours Ltd. Well, whilst walking the dog this morning and seeing all the York Open Studios yellow flags and balloons dotted around the place, I realised that Design@79 designed and manage the websites of four of the brilliant artists exhibiting this year. If you already have a website, there is a good chance that it is running on the WordPress CMS platform. With 35% of the internet running on WordPress, it is hardly surprising that this platform is a major target for hackers and spammers.

ngage consulting - A new client website launch

We are pleased to announce another client website launch. ngage consulting are a specialist business consultancy for the animal health sector, and wanted a a fairly minimalist site that reflected their corporate persona. The amount of copy has been kept to the bare minimum, and info-graphics used in strategic places to get their message across. We also used a mobile-app style menu system that opens a side-menu rather than the more traditional top-bar navigation, and it seems to work quite nicely. Two small videos made by the ngage partners have been used to bring a very personal touch to the site.

As with all our projects, this site was delivered mobile-ready, and we are also monitoring the site performance in terms of their SEO. The guys at ngage also signed-up for our Wordpress Care Package to make sure that their site is kept safe and secure.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new client website....Archipod. This website virtually built itself. The beautiful design and curved form of the garden "pods" crafted by Archipod allowed us to build the site around the imagery. The result is a simple site that just makes you think "I want one!"….if only we had the space! The site has been designed from the ground up, to work beautifully on desktop and mobile devices.
