Almost 50% of NEO’s journey has been alongside new motherhood. I grew my businesses 56% YOY over the past 2 years, trying to balance learning how to scale and manage a team, at the same time learning how to support my thriving baby girl.

This post is just a personal one to say thank you for all the women bts supporting me, whilst I have given everthing to try and grow this business.

When I’m not working I’m with harper and when I’m not with harper im working, I carry guilt and stress at both times of the day.

Success alongside motherhood is a whole new challenge and one that definitely can break you, if you don’t give yourself grace to feel that strain and navigate it knowing your doing the best for both that you can.

So if you’re deep in diapers and at the same time giving the last of your energy to someone else, I see you, I am you and I’m here to remind you just how amazing that is.

Well done mama, you are a superwoman and my hero!

Meet The Woman Reviving a British Heritage Brand in a Barbour Dominated Market

For International Women’s Day, I am highlighting some of the incredible founders I work with.

Today’s feature is Kim, Founder of John Partridge, a British heritage outerwear brand that continues to manufacture in the UK from her family’s factory.

Kim grew up making garments for the brand and even worked as their garment technologist when they were a client of the factory. When the opportunity came to buy the business, she took the leap, moving from manufacturing behind the scenes to leading the brand itself.

Since launching, Kim has opened six retail stores within a year, built a loyal customer base and remained committed to keeping British manufacturing alive.

Her biggest lesson as a founder?
Success is not just about growth and sales. It is about balance, longevity and building relationships with customers who value what you create.

Despite navigating a chronic illness while running the business, Kim continues to lead with resilience, trusting her instincts and the people around her.

Her advice for women starting businesses, especially in male dominated industries:
Learn to communicate with confidence and trust your judgement.

And her favourite mantra, which sits behind her desk:

“We do not make mistakes. We do variations.”

A mindset that has helped turn challenges into innovation and keep the brand moving forward.

Looking forward to a lovely team moment tomorrow, celebrating all the effort we have all dedicated to the business and clients

We will be heading to Leeds for the day and attending for an evening of celebrating inspiration woman accross Yorkshire.

I am wishing all of the nominees the best of luck, but we are all winners and have all achieved incredible things that we should all be more than proud of regardless of what awards we take home or don’t!

Wish us luck and thank you for all the recent support!

Sometimes the person clapping the loudest is yourself and that’s OK too! We have a small community, but such a wonderful supportive one and we are genuinely so grateful for anyone who sees value in our business, social presence and success!

3am founder brain.

Not the creative kind tonight.

The heavy kind.

The kind where your mind will not switch off. Running through every decision, every responsibility, every person relying on you. Thinking about what needs fixing, what needs building, what comes next.

Sometimes building something is exciting and energising.

Sometimes it is just a lot to carry.

People talk about the wins, the growth, the freedom. They talk less about the quiet 3am moments when it all feels a bit overwhelming and you are just trying to hold it together.

If you have ever sat awake in the middle of the night feeling the weight of it all, you are not the only one.

If you needed a sign today, this is it.
Stop doom scrolling.
Stop comparing yourself.
Get back to building.
We are all rooting for you.

Being featured in Yorkshire Life as part of Women in Business is something I am proud of.

But glossy spreads do not show the full picture.

I run this business from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed.

Even when I am not physically working, I am thinking. Planning. Carrying it.

And if I am honest, I rarely feel truly present. That is something I am still working on.

No one sees being up with Harper six times in the night and then being switched on for clients at 8am.

No one sees writing strategy notes while also being a climbing frame.

No one sees the mental juggling. The guilt when I am working. The guilt when I am not.

People see growth. Exposure. “Women in Business.”

They do not see the sacrifice.

It is possible to grow a business in this season of life. But it costs energy. Sleep. Headspace. Sometimes pieces of yourself you are still trying to balance.

That is why International Women’s Day matters.

Not just to celebrate women in the spotlight.

But the women building between feeds.
Between nursery runs.
Between exhaustion and ambition.

The female founders doing extraordinary things inside very ordinary, messy, sleep deprived days.

That deserves recognition too.

Spent the morning at Fling Rentals in Leeds with Chloe, the founder behind the only elevated dress rental service in her area.

We had a great discussion about her market proposition and how to restructure the business to support her next phase of growth. While Fling has championed accessibility, the real opportunity lies in positioning the brand around value, experience and the confidence it delivers.

By sourcing dresses directly from women’s closets and creating income from pieces gathering dust, she’s building a circular, community led model that supports both sustainability and local economic growth.

Make sure you book in for your next event and support this amazing, inspiring female founder.

Thank you for allowing me access BTS and for your total transparency, I look forward to following and supporting your founder journey

Did you know that around 60 percent of UK businesses fail within the first three years?

By year five, fewer than 40 percent are still standing.

You may not know that this is my second time building a six figure agency.

My first profitable business should be celebrating six years right now. Instead, I walked away after two due to a breakdown in trust at partnership level. I chose to leave rather than compromise my integrity.

Neo’s achievements!
56 percent growth year on year.
20 million plus in sales generated for clients.

The biggest challenge?
Building this whilst becoming a first time mum. Not juggling, not “doing it all”, but learning how to lead a company whilst learning how to be a parent. That changes you.

The biggest lesson?
Boundaries. Structure. Pricing with confidence. Making decisions quickly instead of overthinking for weeks. Speed matters. Standards matter more.

My biggest wins
My daughter
Being named Yorkshire Entrepreneur.
Shortlisted for YBW 2026.
Selected as a mentor for the Yorkshire Growth Hub.

The biggest mistake and painful lesson?
Not trusting my gut sooner. Staying in situations longer than I should have. Undervaluing myself in the early years.

Year 5 feels different.

There are big moves ahead.
This genuinely feels like the beginning.

If you have supported Neo, thank you.
If you are watching quietly, come along for the ride.

We are only just getting started.
