Backing emerging talent

Some of the most important work in the arts happens quietly — creating opportunities, building confidence, and opening doors.

The National Centre for Early Music’s Platform Artists scheme supports young ensembles at a pivotal stage, helping them move from training into professional life through performance, recording and expert guidance.

Our role was to shape a visual identity that sits confidently within the NCEM brand family, using the foundation of the NCEM logo and introducing a stepped graphic — a simple idea to reflect progression, development and the journey onto a professional platform.

With the right support and visibility, talent has somewhere to go.

Tickets for the York Chamber Music Festival are now on sale.

Bringing the cream of European string players to the heart of York for

a celebration of great chamber music. This year’s programme celebrates the music of Mendelssohn and Brahms, featuring everything from solo performances to full ensemble works. Highlights include richly melodic string quintets, Adrian Brendel’s solo cello recital, and Mendelssohn’s piano trio in D minor — described by Schumann as “the master trio of our age”.

From solo to duo, trio, quartet and quintet — it’s all happening at York Chamber Music Festival.

We designed the Cinder Track signage many years ago and have walked and cycled the route numerous times. Always nice to see that people are enjoying this wonderful route.

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Meet the Cinder Track, one of North Yorkshire’s favourite places to slow down, enjoy the scenery, and breathe in the seaside air. This traffic-free trail runs between Whitby and Scarborough along the old railway line, making it perfect for walkers, cyclists, dog owners, and anyone who loves being outdoors. 🌿✨

This route was once part of the Whitby to Scarborough railway and still has gentle gradients and sweeping curves. That means you get big coastal views without having to climb steep hills. The best part is you can start right from Whitby and head straight into adventure. 🌊
