Find a partner who genuinely complements you. Someone who sees your potential, even in moments when you struggle to see it yourself. Someone who challenges you to grow, encourages you to become better, and loves you enough to tell you the truth, even when it is uncomfortable.

Not everyone who corrects you is criticizing you, and not everyone who challenges you is against you. Sometimes, the greatest expression of love is having someone who refuses to watch you settle for less than you're capable of becoming.

And if you're fortunate enough to have someone like that in your life, don't become so comfortable with their love that you overlook the value of their investment in you.

Work on yourself. Acknowledge your shortcomings. Learn to accept correction without always becoming defensive. Be willing to grow, not just for the relationship, but for yourself.

Genuine love isn't just about finding someone who accepts you as you are. It's also about finding someone who inspires you to become who you're capable of being.

People don't invest their time, energy, patience and emotions into another person's growth so easily. When someone genuinely believes in you, don't take that for granted.

And remember, growth should always be mutual.
