Next on our list of master influencers, is the cool, calm and collected Rebecca Lane, who is one of Orchard's Account Directors and our resident crisis communications expert.

She's unflappable, strategic and always one step ahead and is also celebrating her third anniversary with team Orchard this month!

Rebecca moved to Manchester last year with her wife, expanding the Orchard footprint into the UK while continuing to collaborate effectively with our Channel Islands team, and service our clients remotely.

She’s been doing a fantastic job helping shape our approach through the lens of UK communications trends and best practice, and has quickly become the poster child for how flexible working really can work, powered by digital connectivity and the occasional flight back to Guernsey when needed ✈️

💫 Campaigns that Count 💫

A charity with urgent priorities, 13,000 islanders without a real voice, and a mission to inspire real action and impact. These were the challenges of Orchard's chosen charity of the year, UnLtd Guernsey, as they asked us to spark a movement.

Our response?
We created the 'Hear It From Us' campaign, giving members of the UnLtd community the platform to be seen and heard. Stories became infographics, social media and PR moments that travelled across the island connecting with media outlets and deepening community engagement with the charity.

👉 We created stories built on relevance, resonance and real human connection.
👉 We gave members newfound confidence and a sense of belonging.
👉 We made accessibility a movement.

Allow us to re-introduce you to our team of brilliant storytellers and communication influencers. First up is Dan Gallienne, Orchard's Head of Client Services. 👋

Fresh into his role as Chair of the CIPR Channel committee, Dan is not only representing our industry, he's helping to shape the future of PR across the islands. Add to that his new status as a modern dad of one, and you’ve got someone who truly understands balance, relevance and real-world communication in today’s fast-moving landscape.

With his finger on the pulse, and his nose firmly buried in a book, Dan is deeply connected to the conversations, platforms and trends that matter right now from reputation and brand storytelling to integrated PR and marketing strategies that actually land. Through Orchard, he continues to champion smart, forward-thinking work that cuts through the noise.

You may already have spotted his iconic curly crown at the recent GradRoutes Guernsey event and if you didn't, don’t worry, that won’t be the last sighting. Dan is set to pop up at plenty more events this year, bringing insight, energy and a fresh perspective wherever he goes.

A huge thanks to everyone who has worked with us this year. We're looking forward to 2026 but before then, time for some silly films, eating lots of food, TV specials, arguing over board games, time with our families and friends and more eating... We'll be back in office on Friday 2 January. Merry Christmas, and a happy and peaceful festive season from the whole Orchard team.

How are you doing today? 🫶🏻

An invitation to talk is sometimes all it takes to make the world of difference to someone struggling at this time of year. Creating safe spaces and having open conversations was the theme at our Conversations for Christmas event, as Orchard partnered with to explore men’s mental health. From losing jobs to hitting rock bottom, Matt Falla, Ross Powell and Harry Brown bravely shared their personal experiences and how they navigated their way through. Thanks to the panel for talking so openly and honestly, raising the awareness that for so many Christmas can be a difficult and challenging time.
