We are a tight-knit digital agency of five, based in Guernsey. We create impactful software solutions for a diverse range of clients, from local businesses to international projects. As a core part of our small technical team, you won’t just be a cog in a machine—you’ll see your code go live and make a real difference.

We’re looking for a pragmatic, product-focused Full-Stack .NET Developer who enjoys taking ownership from concept to deployment and values collaborative, in-person teamwork.

The Role: Hands-on Full-Stack Development

You will be instrumental in building and maintaining our clients' web applications and business systems. Your typical week will involve:
• Designing, developing, and deploying robust full-stack solutions using .NET Core/C # and Vue.js.
• Working across the entire stack, from building RESTful APIs and backend services to crafting responsive, intuitive front-end interfaces.
• Writing clean, maintainable code and collaborating on database design with SQL Server.
• Participating in the full project lifecycle—contributing to planning, implementation, and iterative improvements in our agile environment.
• Providing technical insight and collaborating directly with the team to solve interesting challenges for our clients.

Our tech stack

• Backend: .NET Core / .NET 6+, C #, Entity Framework Core
• Frontend: Vue.js 3, TypeScript, Vite, HTML5/CSS3
• Data: SQL Server, Azure SQL
• Infrastructure: Azure (App Services, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines), Git

Who we're looking for

You are a developer with 4+ years of commercial experience who is comfortable across the full stack. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should have:

• Solid, hands-on experience with C # and the .NET ecosystem (ASP.NET Core, Web API).
• Commercial experience with a modern front-end framework; Vue.js is strongly preferred, but solid React experience with a willingness to learn is welcome.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and relational database design.
• A genuine interest in building great products and solving business problems through code.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset—we succeed together.

Bonus points if you have experience with: Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, or working in an agency/client-facing environment.

In 2024, POS Interiors approached Submarine to create a bespoke product catalogue for their premium office furniture range. They needed more than just a listing: they wanted customers to seamlessly customise each furniture item online - adjusting dimensions, materials, and finishes to fit their workspace - and to request quotes directly via the website.

Collaborating closely with POS Interiors' design team, we crafted an interactive office furniture catalogue with a sleek, modern interface designed for usability. Customers can easily browse the online showroom and use an intuitive product configurator to personalise each piece, choosing their preferred size, colour, and finish — a first of its kind on the island. For an enhanced experience, we also introduced an augmented reality viewer, allowing customers to visualise furniture in their own space. The platform features a product wishlist and a robust members area where users can curate their ideal office setup and request quotes at their convenience. Completed quotes are promptly delivered to each member's account, streamlining the entire process from inspiration to enquiry.

Submarine is very proud to have recently launched the new Guernsey Water website. The challenge was to build a new customer-facing site on a modern platform and arrange for a seamless switchover from the legacy site. Working closely with all stakeholders from marketing and management to IT and infrastructure, Submarine was able to design and build a completely new Umbraco website, migrate content and interactive forms, train key staff and work with the infosec team to pass a rigorous independent pe*******on test with flying colours.

It's a pleasure working with the dynamic team at Guernsey Water and it's lovely to know that they were happy enough to give the following feedback: 'Umbraco is incredibly intuitive... Submarine have been a dream to deal with'.

Submarine is incredibly proud to have been involved in producing a new website for The Ladies' College. Working with top notch designs from Two Degrees North and stunning visual media from TDR Studio we were able to completely overhaul the College's online presence with a beautiful, accessible, and secure site built on the Umbraco site platform.

As with all such projects, it was a team effort, and college staff were deeply involved in the creation and fine-tuning of content both before and after launch. It was a real pleasure to work with such a passionate and talented team of people.

Submarine has built a brand new Umbraco website for a new venture in Guernsey: a family run, do-it-yourself motorbike service/repair workshop: That Bike Place.

Gone are the days when you had to 'tinker away' in the drizzle in the front garden or the side of the road. That Bike Place is warm, dry and secure, community-oriented space where you can work, share knowledge and make friends who know stuff.
