WHY ARE YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA IN 2024?
Reach and sales.
Sales is a numbers game in that your reach is proportionate to the amount of sales you make on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
In other words, the more existing and new people know about your product, chances are some would make a purchase.
Meaning the more you reach, you increase the probability and the opposite is true.
Our parents and local traders knew this hence they never joke with local marketplaces.
Hawkers understands this game hence instead of sitting for customers to come, they move around from house to house and road to road just to increase their reach and increasing the chances.
Companies understand the game well hence they use traditional media like TV and radio to increase their reach increasing the chances.
Now back to the question,
Why are you on social media as a business owner or start-up?
Simple, to increase your reach and increase the probability of attracting high quality buyers using a relation of ''one to many'' to achieve sales goals.
So hear is the thing if you are small business owner or start-up,
You don't need a budget as big as an elephant like what traditional media buyers do
You don't need to go hawking from house to house or road to road.
You don't need to always be under the scorching sun in local market squares.
Not that this ways of reaching out isn't good, they are but as Timothy rightly put it in the Bible, ''knowledge will expand'', so is business and marketing.
Expansion in knowledge leads to creativity and innovation.
How are consumers behaving and where are they congregating? Social media
Get in there, cast your net wide(reach) and start a harvest (sales). This should be the goal of you on social media.
