Our Story

The AGRA Rice Project (Public-Private Partnership for Competitive & Inclusive Rice Value Chain Development: Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) - Rice Chapter) is a Government of Ghana project being implemented by a consortium of 6 partners made up of Intervalle Geneva, John A Kufuor Foundation, HOPELINE INSTITUTE, Ministry of Food and Agriculture (Crop Services Department), Sparkx Ltd and Volta City Farms Ltd. The project is a response to the increasing annual rice imports. It is expected that the consortium is will mobilize and train 128, 764 smallholder farmers in rice producing areas in Ghana and increase yield from 2.5MT to at least 5.0MT within 3 years.

Hopeline’s colaborationwith AGRA is therefore because of reasons stated above.
