Who We Are!! ThisisAccra started as a combined effort of two young twin brothers (Yaw Amponsah-Debrah Snr & Yaw Amponsah-Debrah Jnr) with extensive portfolios and creative minds and later joined by Annabelle Obiri. We are a mixture of people born in Ghana and Europe with one thing in common – a passion for Accra. Despite the availability of numerous travel websites, we felt that there were not many trusted sources on the internet that were dedicated to providing people with up-to-date and relevant information about Accra, making it difficult to plan a visit and navigate around the city. We also felt that potential tourists were not getting a true vision of what the city offers, and we were frustrated with the images and opinions people had of the city due to unrepresentative portrayals in the media.
Consequently, in January 2015, ThisisAccra was launched and till date, has evolved to become an authority on everything Accra. We have pursued excellence in building our brand and worked hard to develop unbelievable content, realising that by collaborating with the social media community across the city and the world, we are able to showcase more of Accra in one day than would ordinarily be possible on our own.
