Oppong Brenya to contest for NPP national Communications Director.
Former director of corporate affairs at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Programme has declared his intention to contest for the position of the National Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Mr. Oppong Brenya, his campaign is based on three pillars which is,
‘Identifying the Problems of the party’s communication , finding solution to these problems and the vision of where to take the party to through communications and programmes.
Mr. Brenya believes with his rich ideas and plans, he is the best to steer the affairs of the party’s communication for victory in 2028.
JOSEPH OSEI OPPONG BRENYA is an Entrepreneur, SME growth Consultant and a Journalist. He is expert in Public Policy, Governance & Leadership, Labour Economics, International Relations & Diplomacy, Regional Integration, Public Administration. 37 years of age.
He has a passion to ensure young people establish their own business and employ others to reduce the youth unemployment in the country.
In 2017, the former president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo appointed him the position of Director for Corporate Affairs at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Programme-NEIP. His task was to help his management of NEIP to implement policies and programmes that seeks to ensure the Ghanaian youth gets access to funding, training, mentorship, Business Advisory Services, business incubation and acceleration to help youth businesses to grow and new ones to emerge whiles helping to shape the entrepreneurial eco-system. A task he successfully delivered.
Oppong Brenya was instrumental in the successful implementation of a world bank Programme known as the Hubs Accelerations grant programme of the SME development component of the Ghana Economic Transformation Programme-GETP. He also led the successful implementation of the World University Service of Canada’s INVEST project, which empowered young women in male-dominated trades by strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training systems and providing business support.
Oppong Brenya, while at NEIP was instrumental in the implementation of the following programmes

• presidential business support programme
• Students entrepreneurship Programme
• NEIP business support programme
• The Kayayie Programme
• Entrepreneurship for restoration( entrepreneurship programme for prison inmates)
• Presidential support for women living with disability
He holds an executive certificate in Development in Entrepreneurship Programme at the Leeds University In UK, certificate in Consultancy for Entrepreneurship from Camaras Fundación INCYDE, Spain. Leadership and team building from Trust Training and others.
He holds Bachelor of Science Marketing from the University Professional Studies. He had his senior and junior high Education from Osei Tutu Senior High School in Kumasi Presby School in Bolgatanga. He hails from Essuowin in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region.
He is a trained Journalist and started his career as a journalist in Bolgatanga at Style Fm, A1 Radio and Word FM. He later joined the Multimedia Group as a news reporter for Joy Fm, Asempa Fm, Adom Fm (Multimedia Group) He also wrote for some newspapers like the Vanguard Newspaper, the New Crusading Guide, News Break, and others. He later joined the EIB Network as a news reporter for Ultimate FM in Kumasi, Starr Fm in Accra and other EIB Network platforms. Mr. BRENYA is currently pursuing International Law Diplomacy and Security-ILDS at the Gold Coast University formerly Accra Business School
Oppong-Brenya is a member of the USC centre for Health Journalism. He is the Chairman of Entrepreneurs and Innovators Network of Ghana and Africa-India Chamber of commerce.
