I was down with tears when i first saw this pic which was posted by a friend few months ago here on FB. Since then, i have saved the pic on my desktop with the intention of re-sharing it with some personal thoughts and motivations of mine. Ever since then, I've not been able to re-share due to some reasons i cannot even explain.
But today i have taken the task upon myself to share my thoughts on this pic as I've initially intended.
I can see HOPE, Faith, Confidence, Determination & myself in the pic! Why am I saying this? I was in a similar situation once like this guy's but by God's grace, my situation has witnessed a significant turn-around and I've now found my feet and pushing my all very had to get to the very top :D. Well only some few people like the great LegenDerry Dean , Charles Nii Ofei Hansen-Quao, Henry Sampson Claud Kweku Hutchful of DreamOval Limited and among others knows what i am improvising.
Wikipedia has Define Hope as: an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large. As a verb, its definitions include: "expect with confidence" and "to cherish a desire with anticipation".
Examining the definition critically, one can deduce a lot from it that fit for this young child in the pic and myself.
I can see an optimistic attitude of mind, I can see an expectancy of positive outcomes and confidence in this young child.
He looks in the picture appears to be one who is from a very less-privilege home maybe with abject poverty. But nobody knows where he might be tomorrow.
I was a nobody few years back, but now i see myself not too far from getting to the very top.
There's this wise saying that, " it takes a little drop of water to make a mighty ocean". Yes Indeed. As little as he's trying today, he will surely get to top one day if he keeps on pushing despite his situation.
It's never too late for this child to be what he might have been.
Lets take critical view of where the young boy is sitting in the pic.
He is lying on the bare flow with no slipper or sandals, he is not wearing a school uniform, he is not sitting in classroom with his colleagues or a teacher, maybe he is not having a home or parents, but look at how DETERMINED he is with his pencil/pen & with that sheet of paper busily writing something and not too sure if he has taken any food or water. Only God knows what he is going through whiles writing on that paper.
Muhammad Ali once said "To be a great champion you must believe you are the best. If you're not, pretend you are".
Upon this child's situation, even though he's not in the classroom with other colleagues students he still believes he can be great as we can clearly see in the pic...
Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe.
Lets take look at Psalm 3:2-6: 2; Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” 3; But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. 4; I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. 5; I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. 6; I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.
From this scripture; we can all see that God can deliver us all from any difficult problems or challenges we might be facing in life.
Should any good Samaritan or a God fearing person come to the aid of this lad, his life will change. He'll be able to discover and nurture the inherent talents in him and some day in the future he might be the next celebrated hero of the future generation.
Always remember this; There's no height you cannot attain, just believe, define your goals and recognize distractions, spend time teaching yourself, because the things that mainly take people to the top, is the things they devoted their time and efforts to develop..
Just do what you can, with what you have, where you are. Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful. It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.
You are valuable and irreplaceable. If you are ever told otherwise, do not believe it. The expert in anything was once a beginner.
Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it. Your struggle is part of your story.
Breakdowns can create breakthroughs.
God will always make a way where there seems to be no way.
Thank you.
Best Regards.
Sincerely.
