“Two colleges. One united vision — leadership beyond school.”

I had the honour of addressing the joint GMSA Handover Ceremony between Offinso College of Education and St. Louis College of Education. What a day of tradition, renewal, and direction.

My message to the house was clear:
🎯 “Let us not separate entrepreneurship from our careers. Instead, let’s blend our aspirations with enterprise and innovation.”

Leadership is not just about position — it’s about providing solutions, even after school.

“We didn’t just close the year — we opened minds.”

To end 2024, we hosted a powerful Leadership Orientation and Entrepreneurship Camp that brought together students from SHS and tertiary institutions across the region.

We trained them on:
🎤 Public Speaking & Representation
📝 Program Planning & Ex*****on
💡 Innovation & Portfolio Building

And in entrepreneurship, students acquired hands-on skills in:
🍧 Yoghurt & Ice Cream Production
📿 Bead Making
💻 Coding & Programming
🧼 Soap & Detergent Making
🎬 Graphic Design & Cinematography
… and more!

It wasn’t just a camp — it was a blueprint for future-ready Muslim youth.

“When the mosque became more than a place of prayer — it became a hall of empowerment.”

💫 AMLAC 2024 – Annual Muslim Ladies Conference 💫
A historic gathering of Muslim girls from SHS and Tertiary institutions across Ashanti Region — all under one roof to be:

💡 Motivated
🎓 Educated
🌸 Inspired
🧕 Spiritually empowered

And then came the icing on the cake — the graceful presence of H.E. Samira Bawumia, former 2nd Lady of the Republic, who spoke deeply and powerfully on:
“Reclaiming Femininity: The Islamic Narrative.”

The Kumasi Central Mosque was full to the brim.
It was emotional. It was historic. It was the biggest program of the year.

"Same message. New faces. Bigger responsibility."

After the successful seminar at Konongo, I was invited to T.I. Ahmadiyya SHS – Kumasi (T.I. AMASS) to deliver the “Life After SHS” lecture — a practical guide for students navigating their next phase after WASSCE.

I walked the students through:
📚 Types of tertiary institutions and how to choose
💼 Understanding marketable programs and career fit
💰 Scholarship opportunities for brilliant but needy students
📈 Strategic decisions to avoid regret after admission

To be able to share with one of Ghana’s top Muslim senior high schools is both an honour and a responsibility.

Six schools. One message: Life doesn’t end after WASSCE — it evolves.”

I had the honour of being the main speaker at a cluster educational seminar hosted at Konongo Odumasi SHS, joined by students from:
🎓 Juaso SHS
🎓 Agogo State College
🎓 Owerriman SHS
🎓 Collins SHS
🎓 Ofoase SHS
🎓 Konongo Odumasi SHS

My topic: Life After SHS — how to navigate institutions, programs, and career choices with strategy and purpose.

I spoke about:
🔹 The types of institutions and their missions
🔹 Career alignment and the job market
🔹 Scholarships for brilliant but needy students

It wasn’t just a lecture — it was a mindset reset for students seeking direction and hope.

They say quiz competitions end in controversy. Not this one. Not on my watch.”

On 3rd July 2024, I was honoured to serve as Quiz Master for the KNUST Inter-College Quiz Competition — a battle of intellect among the 6 great colleges of the university.

📘 Subjects spanned:
🧮 Math
📖 English
🧪 Integrated & Islamic Science
🌍 Current Affairs & General Knowledge

The College of Science emerged as the undisputed champions, defeating the College of Engineering with a huge margin.

I may not boast of doing anything extraordinary…
But as one review said:
“This is the first quiz with no petition against the quiz master in so many years.”

That alone? Alhamdulillah.

The only breathing Muslim quiz competition with national-standard ex*****on — right here in Ashanti.”

In 2023, under our GMSA Ashanti administration, we organized the Annual Quiz Competition for SHSs in the region — Ghana’s only fully structured Muslim Quiz platform at this level.

📚 89 schools participated in the Prelims.
🏆 Opoku Ware School (Okatakyie) emerged 6-time champions!

From Aqeedah to General Knowledge, Islamic History to Current Affairs — it was an intellectual battleground that echoed across the region.

This is how we grow the Muslim intellectual class — one buzzer at a time.

Volunteering is not just service — it's a signature of purpose."

At the VOMYED Youth Camp, I had the honour of being invited as a guest speaker to speak on a theme that’s close to my heart:
“Volunteering to Impact Lives.”

I shared personal stories, principles, and pathways for young Muslims to serve their communities meaningfully — not just with words, but with time, effort, and skills.

I was also privileged to serve as a judge for the debate and drama competitions, where I witnessed raw talent, conviction, and the power of youth expression.

This was not just a camp — it was a platform for purposeful growth.

The future isn’t far — it just needs direction."

During our GMSA administration's handover season, I had the honour of being invited to Yaa Asantewaa Girls' SHS to speak on the topic:
Educational Pathways After SHS.

I walked the students through:
🎓 The various tertiary institutions and their backgrounds
📚 Key academic programs and their requirements
💰 Scholarship opportunities for brilliant but needy students

It wasn’t just a lecture — it was a chance to hand students a map they could use to chase their dreams.

They called it a camp. We called it the Big Bang.”

Our first major project as the new Ashanti Regional GMSA leadership was a 3-day Orientation Camp — a strategic move to train, awaken and empower our local executives across SHSs and tertiary campuses.

We taught them the heart of GMSA:
🕌 Their roles and responsibilities
🤝 Proper student leadership culture
🌍 The purpose behind the association
📜 Why we rise to serve the Ummah

The fire caught. The region stirred. The journey was no longer a vision — it was reality.

December 2021 — the end of the beginning. And the beginning of something greater."

Right after National Service, I was nominated as Vice President of the Ashanti Regional GMSA, overseeing 123 Senior High Schools and 24 tertiary institutions, including training colleges.

We had one mission:
To organize, build and serve a generation of Muslim youth with structure, support and spiritual vision.

We themed our entry “The End of the Beginning” — because this wasn’t the peak. It was the launchpad.

I was The Hand of the King — not just dreaming with the President, but building those dreams into action.
