My Story — And A Message Every Woman Needs to Hear
When my husband and I started dating, one thing he made very clear was this:
we wouldn’t move forward if we didn’t know each other’s genotype and blood group.
He is AS, and he understood the reality. He had seen firsthand what living with SS can do to a family—emotionally, physically, and financially. So when we found out I was AA, it felt like we were in the clear… or so we thought.
What we didn’t fully understand at the time was the impact of our blood group compatibility. I’m B-negative, and he’s B-positive.
Today, I’m sharing this not to scare anyone—but to inform and help other women who are yet to get married or have children.
Please, take this seriously:
Go for proper medical counseling before committing.
If you and your partner have different Rhesus factors, your pregnancy can become high-risk.
This is real.
You can have your baby… and still lose your life.
After I had my baby, someone said to me, “Tonya, you’re a warrior. Not everyone survives this phase.”
That stayed with me.
Because the truth is, my pregnancy was not easy. My blood pressure would spike dangerously—sometimes over 200. It felt like I was constantly standing between life and death.
But God saw me through.
And now, I have my beautiful baby girl 🤍
I’m not ready to share everything yet—I will, when I’m stronger. But for now, I just want this message to reach someone who needs it.
Before you fall deeply in love… be informed.
Know what you’re walking into.
And make sure the person you’re choosing is worth every risk that may come with it.
For now, I’m focusing on my baby and my healing.
I’ll be back soon—to share more, to work, and to continue this conversation.
With love,
Tonia 🤍
