A new chapter begins for the TRY Oyster Women Association Depuration & Processing Unit as efforts continue toward strengthening oyster processing, value addition, and market growth in The Gambia.

This marks another important step toward empowering women within the oyster value chain while promoting sustainability, innovation, and economic opportunities for local communities.

Implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations through the FISH4ACP programme, in collaboration with the TRY Oyster Women Association, with funding support from the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in partnership with the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States.
