I rarely write about musicians, but Basaikou Jatta my fav Lil rapper helped me see another today, Prince Balla ! The guy is something else.. They say he's underground, but it's hard to talk. I think he's way above ground. We haven't been paying attention, and it's not his fault ..
His rap is thought awesome, and just all round wholesome, with no forced lines. Everything is smooth, blending in nicely, and he's Gambia too, nice !
I like all I've listened to so far. I like it in particular, how he switched flows on his track "unique". This brother is special, and it goes without saying he's great upstairs. His tracks: Paradigm Shift and Evil lurks, will say more if it must be said at all..
I hope he withstands the test of time though, but I'm also glad, with "Rest in ", he woke up sleeping dogs. It's like it isn't in him to let em ... Those who have ears will hear and up the game...
My favorite Gam rapper might've just introduced me to my new favorite rapper, but I'll tread slowly with this decision.. time will decide.. Hopefully he'll not be a one season wonder.. Meanwhile, shout out to you big man. Keep it coming.
