SPAROZA SAUCES PACKAGING DESIGN

SPAROZA:
“We created two sauces and a jelly that can be used in countless recipes or inspire entirely new culinary creations. The only limit is your imagination. They are also perfect for pairing with dips, adding a unique flavor to gatherings and parties. Designed for creative cooking enthusiasts and those who appreciate distinctive flavors, these products aim to elevate every dish."

ISLAND12:
Creative cooking is often a whirlwind of chaos, flavor, and fun—a messy yet inspired process. This vivid imagery of culinary action, with sauces splattered and creativity unleashed, was the starting point for our design approach to Sparoza’s new products.

We translated this playful and dynamic energy into illustrated characters that represent the sauces and jelly. These bold, eye-catching characters are brought to life with expressive personalities and strong emotional reactions. As they tumble from the jar into a cooking vessel, their faces reveal a mix of anxiety and anticipation, knowing they are about to transform into a delicious dish.

To complement this storytelling, we designed a custom font for the product names, harmonizing seamlessly with the illustrations and reinforcing the brand’s creative identity. For clarity and functionality, we paired this with a secondary, simpler font that ensures all essential product information is easy to read.

The result is a packaging design that not only grabs attention on the shelf but also captures the fun, imaginative spirit of cooking with Sparoza’s sauces and jelly. It invites culinary enthusiasts to explore, experiment, and enjoy the flavorful possibilities these products bring to the table.

OXYMELI PACKAGING DESIGN

Ancient Greek Products SA:
“Oxymeli is an ancient Greek drink made from honey and vinegar, offering a distinctive sweet and sour taste. Celebrated by the great physicians and philosophers of antiquity, including Hippocrates and Galen, it was highly regarded as a remedy for various ailments such as constipation, pneumonia, and pleurisy. Our Oxymeli is crafted with fidelity to Galen's original recipe.”

ISLAND12:
To honor the timeless legacy of Oxymeli and its ancient Greek roots, we developed a visual identity that seamlessly blends historical authenticity with modern appeal.

At the heart of the design is a key visual that symbolizes the harmonious combination of honey and vinegar. We created a stylized bunch of grapes, cleverly designed to resemble honeycombs, embodying the blend of these two essential ingredients in a single, iconic image.

Given Oxymeli’s deep connection to ancient Greece, we crafted a custom logo inspired by the aesthetics of ancient Greek script. This typographic choice reinforces the product’s historical significance while maintaining a contemporary edge. Complementing the logo, we incorporated geometric patterns inspired by ancient Greek design motifs, adding depth and authenticity to the visual identity.

The color palette draws from the tradition of red-figure vase painting, one of the most celebrated styles of Greek ceramics. This choice not only reflects the cultural heritage of the product but also highlights the core elements of the design with a warm and striking visual impact.

By combining thoughtful symbolism, historical references, and a bold visual style, the branding for Oxymeli celebrates its ancient origins while appealing to modern audiences, ensuring that its story and values remain as relevant today as they were in antiquity.

"We are an open-minded s*x shop. Our new branding needs to be bold, modern, fresh, and timeless."

ISLAND12:
The evocative name "Sexopolis" served as the foundation for a daring and imaginative brand identity. Drawing on its storytelling potential, we envisioned Sexopolis as the "capital of s*x and s*x toys"—a vibrant, liberated metropolis where its residents embrace total freedom of s*xual expression and live "orgasmically" every day.

The new visual identity reflects this ethos with bold references and playful allusions to s*x and intimacy. The tone is unapologetically kinky yet sophisticated, striking the perfect balance between provocative and approachable.

At the heart of the brand's design is the logo, which depicts the skyline of this erotic cityscape. The architecture of the "buildings" and "skyscrapers" is cleverly inspired by the iconic shapes of vi*****rs and other s*x toys, blending subtlety with boldness to create a memorable and distinctive visual.

This creative approach extends across all visual communication materials, where simple lines, curves, and forms evoke s*xual connotations in a provocatively playful manner. Whether on packaging, promotional assets, or digital platforms, these elements create a cohesive and striking design language that embodies the brand’s essence.

By weaving together bold storytelling, sensual design, and a cheeky tone of voice, Sexopolis emerges as a brand that invites open conversation about s*xuality while celebrating freedom, pleasure, and self-expression.

A creative ritual!

The Shaman Tea - Packaging Design & Branding

SPAROZA:

The process of collecting herbs and spices for this blend, along with the meticulous preparation it requires to unlock its full potential, is a ritual in itself. The tea has soothing, almost 'magical' properties that relax the mind and body, inspiring the name "The Shaman Tea." In a highly competitive market, we sought a packaging design that would stand out on shelves and effectively communicate the unique essence of our product.

ISLAND12:

Inspired by the evocative name of the tea, we crafted a bold visual identity that incorporates strong tribal elements, bringing the storytelling of "The Shaman's Tea" to life.

At the heart of the design is a stylized depiction of a shamanic mask that vividly represents the essence of the product. The mask is prominently featured on the lid of the tin, alongside a wordmark designed to complement the tribal aesthetic. The mask's design is scaled up and repeated around the sides of the tin, emphasizing the intricate details of the illustration and creating a striking shelf presence.

The color palette—black, white, and red—forms a bold and harmonious combination. These vibrant hues echo the intense flavors and aromas of the tea blend, while the background color subtly mimics the hue of the tea when mixed with milk, the recommended preparation method.

The shamanic mask is the focal point of the packaging, commanding attention and inviting customers to experience the 'magical' qualities of the tea. Its bold design ensures that the product not only stands out but also connects emotionally with consumers.

In addition to the packaging, we designed custom mugs inspired by the mask’s horns. These horns are both a unique aesthetic feature and a functional design element, doubling as ergonomic handles. This thoughtful detail enhances the product's appeal, making the mugs both visually distinct and practical for everyday use.

By blending storytelling, bold design, and practical innovation, our creative approach elevates "The Shaman Tea", ensuring it captivates customers and stands out in a competitive market.
