Athens International Literature Festival promotional animation for Τεχνόπολις Δήμου Αθηναίων and Δήμος Αθηναίων

Christmas 2025 - 2026 in Athens

For Τεχνόπολη Δήμου Αθηναίων - Technopolis City of Athens and Δήμος Αθηναίων

ABOUT
Following last year's successful partnership, animasyros asked us to be their design team once again for the 2024 and 17th version of the festival.

We developed a visual guide for all of the applications that were needed for the festival both printed and digital based on Georgianna's Dallara original artwork. This year's concept was "Africa Animated" so we kept the bold colorful palette on black background and used the same design principles throughout the identity.

In total more than 100 graphic applications were designed and produced for the needs, including the animated trailer of the festival, 328page catalogue and an online brochure for the agora section. More than 50 people were involved in the production of the applications in Athens and Syros and more than 3.200 people attended the festival this year. The logo, a monogram inspired by Mr. Xarchakos' name in Greek, is designed around the music pentagram. Its clean lines are derived from the swift, expressive movements of his hands while conducting his orchestras.
The creation of the website aims to highlight the work and cultural heritage of Stavros Xarhakos and, at the same time, to constitute a living archive for Greek musical creation. Through archives, biographies, musical samples and historical data, the website becomes a living vehicle of culture, keeping alive the legacy of great creators and making it accessible to a wider audience.

AR application for the Ίδρυμα Αικατερίνης Λασκαρίδη | Maritime Collection.

This application enables users to discover in an interactive way selected objects from the maritime collection of the President of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, Panagiotis K. Laskaridis. The collection was built up from the mid-1980s onwards, and today it is one of the most important in Greece. The collection counts more than 300 objects, including a number of rare scrimshaws. The objects are presented in the app in 3D, but only after users scan the appropriate codes that are anything but foreshadowing what they will see. The drawings of nautical objects are deconstructed in pixels, in order to hide their actual form and arouse the user's curiosity.

ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival asked us to be their design partners for the 2023 and 16th version of the festival. We worked closely with their team for almost 10 months starting with a soft redesign of the festival's logo and identity. Most of the work was developed during the summer and just two months before the opening day.
