📈 A significant rise in last-minute bookings since early June
🏝️ Paros and Naxos emerge as this year's big winners
🍂 Stronger bookings for September, October and November, the season is stretching into autumn
🌍 The US, UK and Central Europe continue to drive demand, with the German market on the rise

🏆 A win for science, oat drinks, and your morning coffee ☕ Angeliki Triantafyllou, Greek-Swedish scientist, won the European Inventor Award 2026, presented by the European Patent Office (EPO) in Berlin.

Her patented invention? An enzymatic method that finally made oat drinks taste good, stay stable, and froth the way baristas need, turning a niche product into the mainstream dairy alternative we all know today. The story started in the early ‘90s at Lund University and led to the process behind the Oatly Barista range. Today, she’s still innovating through her own company, Cerealiq AB.

And it’s not only about flavour; oat-based drinks can mean less land, less water, and a lighter footprint than conventional dairy. 🌍
