CAVOMIT was established in 1984 as a converter of conventional printing presses into hot-stamping equipment. Over the years a reputation for reliability, direct technical after-sale support and continuous upgrade of models combined with unbeatable pricing resulted in approx. 482 installations on platen presses and 123 large-format or cylinder conversions in Greece (end 2005), a practical monopoly
by local standards. Today, CAVOMIT converted equipment covers the entire range: from simple mechanically controlled attachments to the advanced generation of complete electronic conversion systems to sophisticated hologram registration equipment. All systems and software are developed in-house locally. This equipment is being made internationally available since 1990 and CAVOMIT large-format presses are currently operative in the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Turkey, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia/Montenegro, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Venezuela, Croatia, Czech Republic, Russia, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Islamic Republic of Iran through a network of local agencies and technical support units. Smaller systems are also in operation in various parts of the world such as Cyprus, Bahrain, Benin, Peru, Algeria, Germany, Slovenia, U.S.A and Saudi Arabia. CAVOMIT FOILS was established in 1990 in order to benefit from the established market position in the Greek market through the distribution of hot-stamping consumables. As a result of wide market exposure and modern sales techniques applied to a highly attractive product mix with emphasis on technical support and quality control, CAVOMIT FOILS has achieved an estimated market share of 75% in terms of turnover figures and more than 85% in terms of number of foil blockers in Greece with still a steadily increasing tendency. CAVOMIT (FOILS) acts today in the Greek market as the registered distributor and stockist for API FOILS (UK) hot stamping materials which includes the brand names of ASTOR, WHILEY and DRI-PRINT foils, importer and distributor of CROWN ROLL LEAF (USA) specialty hot-stamping foils, exclusive local agent for SAM (I) label printing equipment, exclusive distributor of PRAGO (D) auxiliary materials, importer and local supplier of REVERE GRAPHIC PRODUCTS (USA) materials for photoengravers. In this way, CAVOMIT FOILS is unique in covering the entire range and offering one-atop full-service in the hot-stamping field in Greece.
