Farm diversification is getting its own space in the European policy conversation.

In 2026, the EU CAP Network brought together a Thematic Group specifically to look at how farms are diversifying, what is helping them do it and where current support is still falling short.

The discussion went well beyond agritourism. Processing, direct sales, renewables, new services, short supply chains and other activities are increasingly part of the picture.

And some of the questions raised by the group are very familiar to us at MY FARM: How do we define and measure diversification? What kind of support actually works? And which skills are needed to turn new activities into viable parts of a farm business?

The group has now put forward nine proposals, including clearer policy frameworks, better data, dedicated support mechanisms and more investment in skills, advisory services and knowledge exchange.

🍇 SMART-VINE | Digital technologies for the vineyard of the future

We are excited to announce the launch of SMART-VINE, a new research and innovation project coordinated by REZOS BRANDS, aiming to accelerate the digital transformation of vineyard cultivation.

SMART-VINE will explore how Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality can work together to support smarter, more informed decisions in the vineyard.

🌱 By connecting real-world vineyard data, meteorological information and AI-powered models with a Digital Twin of the vineyard, the project will support:

🔹 Monitoring crop health, growth and maturity
🔹 Yield estimation
🔹 Data-driven vineyard management
🔹 More informed harvesting decisions
🔹 More efficient and sustainable cultivation practices

The 24-month project brings together complementary expertise from research, technology and the agri-food sector:

Everyone has the right to work in a safe environment and to know their rights.

In the TOMAS 2.0 training programme, participants learn how to identify workplace hazards, understand the basics of employment contracts, know their rights, and respond safely to potential risks. The knowledge is reinforced through practical exercises and role-playing activities.

Occupational safety and legal employment are covered in Module 5, which is part of the full TOMAS 2.0 training programme. The programme helps migrants gain the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully integrate into the labour market and work in the agri-food sector.

Rezos Brands SA had the opportunity to participate in the EU-WASTE study visit and Transnational Project Meeting in Spain, exchanging knowledge and experiences with European partners on innovative waste management practices and circular economy solutions.

Through this collaboration, we continue to promote sustainable food systems, reduce food waste, and support the transition towards a more circular and resilient Europe. ♻️

🌱 EU-WASTE Project Study Visit & Transnational Project Meeting in Spain

As part of the EU-WASTE Project, we had the pleasure of participating in an inspiring study visit and Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in Valencia, Spain, hosted by our partners at the Municipality of Calles.

During this valuable exchange, we explored innovative approaches to waste management and circular economy practices, with a special focus on the implementation of the Door-to-Door waste collection system in the municipality of Calles.

🏡 The study visit gave us the opportunity to learn firsthand about the operational aspects of the system, the incentives applied by the municipality, and the first positive results emerging within the local community. Through discussions with our Spanish partners, we explored how this model could be adapted and transferred to other European contexts, including municipalities in Greece.

📌 Alongside the study visit, we also held our Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), where EU-WASTE partners:

- Reviewed the progress and activities of the project
- Exchanged updates and experiences from each partner’s perspective
- Discussed the next steps and upcoming actions
- Strengthened collaboration towards achieving the project’s objectives
- Conducted a SWOT analysis of the project
- Explored connections between municipalities in Spain and Greece, and identified future opportunities for cooperation and new initiatives.
