Happy 2026! Very happy to start the year sharing Immaculata Classical Academy's new brand - Our Lady continues to take good care of my career through it all, and doing work for a school with such an exceptional story and vision was a true blessing. If you're in Kentucky, check them out! And their choir 🔥

As time has progressed, I have noticed a clear desire to return to more intricate designs. A search to recover tradition and pull from there, which has opened the door to explorations and ways of doing branding that can both honor the Eternal and Infinite yet still allow for a simple, clear and inviting entryway to the brand.

I love my job. And I truly love my clients and pray for them.

Today's feast day reminded me to share Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish branding project from last year! An interesting case as they strive to be a fully billingual parish in Madison, WI.

May our Mother guide their steps like she did San Juan Diego's 🙏🏼

I have a scary backlog of unpublished work, but let me share quickly this rebrand for a brand that's doing amazing work on the front of fertility literacy.

I met .sean_magaldi at the conference eight (eight?!) years ago in Dallas. A lot has happened in our lives between then and now. Last year, I had my third baby, he was installed as pastor of his parish in New York, and our paths crossed again for the sake of this bold, beautiful rebrand.

All I can say is that he is leading with confidence, a clear vision, and deep love of Christ's Truth. Father, it was an honor and a pleasure. I pray God multiplies the fruits of this work for the good of your community.

Showing signs of life! 👋

Last year I got to help the pastorate of Mary, Mother of Mercy (Sauk City, WI) in finding their new identity as they wait to become a formal parish in the upcoming months.

Part of the beauty of my job is creating something that rallies support for bold changes and brave leadership. Father Miguel was one such example, and I thank him for his trust.

When Sr. Danielle caught me up on what they were up to and I heard them express what they felt being called to, I got goose bumps:

"As religious sisters and consecrated women, we live a mission of listening, healing, and reparation in solidarity with people on the fringes of the Church, especially those who have been wounded, scandalized, or abused by members of the Church."

Wow. And since then, through both little and big steps, they've been making waves.

I had to honor of helping find their visual language as they stepped into their challenging mission, humbly, carefully yet boldly. One unique thing about this brand is how it is powerfully enhanced by Sr. Danielle's illustrations and the power of black and white.

Go follow their journey and give their voice a listen! It might just be what you need to hear.

I'm nervous to share a little experiment with you all: A children's book on the life of Mother Teresa! It is currently available for purchase on Amazon in Spanish, English, Kindle and paperback versions. Ready for Mother Teresa's feast day coming up on September 5th!

Get it here:
https://www.amazon.com/author/daniela.madriz

(Some people are reporting issues with the link, so you can also try this one: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/34ZIZ29CKCMUH?ref_=wl_share
or search for Mother Teresa for Kids or Madre Teresa para niños on Amazon)

As someone known for brand design, rather than illustrating or writing or publishing, I ventured into new territory with the help of AI and direct publishing.

The tools helped me accomplish this within the fewer hours of work I manage to get in as a mom these days. If all else fails, I'm grateful I was able to bring to life the story of one of my favorite Saints for my own littles.

This is a humble minimum viable product, to explore a new creative space, learn, and see if anything sticks. So if you do get it for your kids or as a gift, or have any charitable guidance to offer, I'd love to hear from you. Let me know/send me a picture, and leave a review! Your input will help determine where I go from here :)
