Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong is proud to join hands with world-famous high-fashion shoe designer Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE and his son, entrepreneur and creator of the famous Smart Doll Mr Danny Choo, on a charity initiative, aiming to raise funds to support Operation Santa Claus.
The hotel is very privileged to have Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE and Mr Danny Choo to contribute an outline of a shoe and one of a doll, which will be printed on sketch cards priced at HK$ 50 each for a charity sale, starting from 1 November, in support of Operations Santa Claus. Donors can design their own party shoes or their dream outfit by filling in the sketch cards with colours and optionally adding ornaments to the outline. Professor Choo and Danny have also shared several colourful drawings of their beautiful designs with the hotel to produce a special set of linen bags for charity sale.
To raise more funds for this campaign, these multi-purpose linen bags with special drawings by Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE and Danny Choo will be available at a price of HK$ 380 per set. Each set includes three linen bags; each with their own design, and comes in three different sizes.
On 7 December 2018 at 11:30 am, Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE and Danny Choo will unveil their own designs along with approximately 1,650 submissions from our donors, which will all be mounted on a huge display board measuring 5.7 metres wide and 4.6 metre tall in the two-storey-high hotel lobby. The designs will be exhibited until 28 December 2018. Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE and Danny Choo will select two of the most eye-catching entries, and the winners will be announced within one month from 7 December 2018, the contest’s closing date. The designer of the winning entries will each receive a Smart Doll, which is worth thousands of dollars and hand-made by Danny Choo, along with his autograph.
This year marks the 16th year of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s support of OSC. All proceeds collected through this charity event will go to OSC’s 12 beneficiaries in Hong Kong to help children, the elderly and mentally or physically challenged people.
