Science of CUHK, award-winning books including "Hong Kong: Better by Design" and "Navigating Design: a voyage of discovery" which won the How Magazine's "Perfect 10 Design Awards" in 2004 and the publishing gold award of the 15th Hong Kong Print Awards in 2003.

We designed the original programmes brochure template and covers design series 2022-23. This is the further evolution by upgrading the standardisation, enhancing flexibility and adding the design element (the waves which deprived from the characteristic of phoenix – the School's emblem) to enrich the layout inside which makes it more identifiable and energetic. We have updated 26 programmes covers, upgraded the layout guidelines system and finished couples of brochures refreshments.

The emblem represents two partners, which embraces “Governance” and “Policy Science”, interacting and creating synergy to each other, forming the gesture of letters SGPS (Initial of the School name). It also suggests the human-centred approach to public policy in governance.

The Yuen Ren Chao Prize in Language Sciences (The Prize) is an international award that honours scholars and researchers who have made distinguished contributions to language sciences.The prize is named after the late Professor Yuen Ren Chao who is widely regarded as the Father of Modern Chinese Language Studies. Professor Chao was a world-renowned linguist and talented humanistic scholar, poet, composer, and educator. His significant academic contributions cover the total spectrum of language science inquiry, from highly technical discussions in linguistic theory to practical texts for language teaching. These contributions have left an indelible mark on humanities research and education in general.

EdUHK is a forerunner and a leader as an elite athlete-friendly university in offering holistic and caring support for elite athletes to pursue a sustainable and dual career path. The University has admitted around 130 elite athletes to various programmes since 2010. The Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme (SALSA) with the aim of encouraging local universities to support outstanding athletes who aspire to pursue dual-track career developments. With SALSA, EdUHK has further enhanced the special admission schemes and learning support for the student-athletes.
