After the success of our previous project, TOMORROW MYTH unveiling its first-ever tabletop game.

Inspired by the ancient Asian strategy classic 鬥獸棋 (The Animal Chess), this reimagined edition fuses traditional gameplay with TOMORROW MYTH’s distinctive art direction. Each endangered creature is reborn, embodying both the beauty and the sorrow of a world on the edge.

The Story Begin:
Everyone has heard the legend of the “King of Animals.”
But have you ever wondered — how was this king chosen?

In the ancient laws of the animal kingdom, once every 10,000 years, all creatures gather to decide who will ascend the throne and rule the wild.
Now, the cycle begins anew.
Whispers stir through the jungle. The drums of battle echo once more.
The animals are ready — to fight for glory, and for the crown.

Stay tuned. The new era of TOMORROW MYTH is about to begin.

但你可曾思索過——這位王者，是如何誕生的？

在遙遠的年代裡，動物王國有一條不變的古老律法：
每逢一萬年，萬獸將齊聚一堂，爭奪象徵榮耀與權力的王座。

如今，新的輪迴再次降臨。
叢林間的風聲低語，戰鼓漸鳴——
群獸整裝待發，只為奪取那至高無上的王冠。

敬請期待，王位之戰，一觸即發。

For this special exhibition at M+ "Madame Song: Pioneering Art and Fashion in China", I took inspiration from the rich artistic legacy of Madame Song (Song Huai-Kuei). A pioneering figure in China's art and fashion world, She brought an avant-garde perspective that transcended traditional boundaries, particularly in textile and installation art.

The design of my logo and product line draws upon one of her signature art pieces, the "butterfly," a motif that often surfaced in her work as a symbol of transformation, beauty, and femininity. Inspired by the abstract shape of the butterfly in her tapestry, I incorporated the letter "S" into the form, representing both the artist’s name, "Song," and an elegant symbol of femininity. This integration of shape, letter, and symbolism creates a fluid, harmonious butterfly icon that not only pays homage to her work but also carries its spirit into a modern context.

For the product designs, I developed patterns using this butterfly icon, echoing traditional Chinese motifs while introducing a contemporary flair. The repeated iconography recalls classical Chinese patterns, which often featured recurring natural elements and symmetrical forms, but I modernized it with bold color choices and dynamic lines.

Through this project, I aim to create an aesthetic bridge between Madame Song’s legacy and today’s fashion and design landscape, celebrating her role as a trailblazer for Chinese art and design on a global stage.

是次為M+博物館處理的《宋懷桂：藝術先鋒與時尚教母》設計項目，靈感來自中國藝術與時尚界的先鋒人物——宋懷桂女士的代表作品之一「蝴蝶」。

蝴蝶是她作品中經常出現的主題，象徵著蛻變、美麗和女性力量。我們從她掛毯中蝴蝶的抽象形狀中汲取靈感，並融入代表她名字的“S”，再加上女性的意思，使它們融為一個流暢、和諧的蝴蝶圖案。這不僅向她的作品致敬，也將其精神帶入了現代語境。在產品設計中，這個蝴蝶圖案衍生出不同的花紋，既呼應了中國傳統，也帶入了現代的風格。透過大膽的色彩選擇和動感的線條，賦予其現代化的氣息。

這個系列是對宋懷桂女士的致敬——它融合了傳統與創新，以及紡織藝術的觸覺美感與視覺符號的表達力。通過這個項目，希望能在傳承與當代時尚之間建立一條充滿創意的橋樑。
