A Jewelry Brand Identity Design
My client has been working for her jewelry brand for over a decade; she finally decided to go all out to revamp it. When I started the design work, I saw it as a brand-new design project, but then the client told me she insisted on using the same logo she had used for a time. After a close discussion, I realized it was a knot of love. The original logo, which was her husband’s creation, was full of artistry but missed the standard and marketability a brand should have. I decided to take the original logo as a concept and elevate it to a high branding standard.
Chinese ‘艷’ comes from the client’s name, who said that her father might have thought of her future business when he gave the name. One of the innovations in the new design is the division of the logo into three elements, which can be used in different forms. The brand has various jewelry lines, from individually designed pieces to the jewelry brands they represent, so the three forms of the logo can be used to identify different product lines, adding visual interest and functionality to the application design.
The client is a creative person full of ideas. I must analyze rationally and strategically as a designer to turn valuable ideas into a sustainable brand strategy.
