Para Site is delighted to present the group exhibition titled ‘Minding the G(r)a(s)p’, featuring recent works and new commissions by C&G Artpartment, Eastman Cheng, Chow Chun Fai, Jaffa Lam, Lau Hok Shing, Lulu Ngie, and Wong Wai Yin. The English title of the exhibition is a triple entendre—gap, gasp, grasp. The exhibition is an invitation to the audience to engage through a collective experiment that circumnavigates the interpretative lens of the curator. The exhibition questions the active versus passive roles of audience, artist, and curator—and seeks to reconfigure the power dynamics between these participants. The works included in the exhibition are imbued with personal significance for the artists. Some are previously unrealised, others have never been widely exhibited. Yet still are experiments—improvisations in the here and now. The exhibition is curated by Celia Ho.

The opening reception on 13 May includes the performance ‘NMNT Vault’, Production of Counterfeit Banknote Workshop by Eastman Cheng, in collaboration with the Counterfeit Banknote production team Leung Kwong Yiu and Cho Wing Ki, at 6:30–8:30pm.

Para Site藝術空間欣然呈獻群展「擱 角 覺」，展出C&G藝術單位、鄭淑宜、周俊輝、林嵐、劉學成、倪鷺露以及黃慧妍的近作與全新委託作品。展覽的中文題目是擱置、角色、覺察的縮寫，是策展人何思穎對觀眾的一個邀請——希望走進展覽空間的觀眾先把對觀展的任何預設都擱置。展覽邀請觀眾於觀展同時參與一次集體實驗——即嘗試不受策展人的視角影響觀展。展覽藉此叩問展覽中不同持份者的角色，嘗試倒轉觀眾與藝術家與策展人之間被動又主動的必然關係。是次展出的創作都是此刻對藝術家別具意義的作品，比如是過往未曾實現的一些想像、未完成的試驗、未被廣泛認受的，或當下有感而發的新創作。是次展覽由何思穎策劃。
