The island is hosting two major international CMAS freediving competitions this month, bringing some of the world's best athletes to Roatán to push the limits of human breath-hold diving.

This year you'll actually be able to watch the action live thanks to state-of-the-art drones that follow the divers into the deep blue, giving spectators an incredible new perspective on the sport.

Joining us is Esteban Darhanpe from the Roatan Freediving School & Training Center to explain how these amazing competitions work, what it takes to compete at the highest level, and why Roatán has become one of the world's premier freediving destinations.

Madison is joined by phone with Ted Terrazas to talk about a special evening being organized by the U.S. Veterans of Roatán—a celebration of America's 250th Anniversary on August 19th at 5:00 PM at Pristine Bay Resort.
