Last week was incredibly busy and fruitful! We had the opportunity to participate in two significant events: the "Adriatic Mariculture" scientific conference organized by the University Of Zadar and the "Sustainable Blue Economy in the Context of Climate Change and Biodiversity Degradation Driven by Marine Technologies" conference organized by Digital Innovation Hub Innovamare.

Additionally, we hosted a study tour at our headquarters in Kaštel Sućurac for 8 Norwegian companies organized by the Croatia-Norway network in innovative marine technologies. Exciting times ahead!

While overfishing continues to diminish oceans, fish farming—known as aquaculture—can help preserve waterways and marine life while still providing plenty of high-protein food. In the United States, where permitting for offshore aquaculture remains unclear, land-based fish farming (with controls and safeguards) is gaining traction. These farms are in their early stages and will almost certainly need to employ AI and machine learning to monitor the health and weight of fish, as well as the quality of their environment.
