Hvala vam!

Good ideas and meaningful business growth rarely happen in isolation.
Our CEO Marina recently completed the SkillUp Academy and has continued her journey through the newly launched SkillUp Club, a community built around exactly that belief.
The first activity was a 3-day retreat in Rovinj, bringing together CEOs from different industries in a focused setting designed for discussion, learning, and peer exchange. The program featured a workshop on "Creating a product that builds your brand" with , alongside leadership and communication sessions with .ashwini.

At Etikgraf, continuous learning and fresh perspectives remain central to building a resilient business, and this retreat was a great reminder of what becomes possible when you step outside the day-to-day.
The SkillUp program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, with funding from the European Union and support from IFC – International Finance Corporation.

What looks simple often hides the most complex challenges. For this project with , the material itself dictated our strategy.

The stock is raw and porous, meaning it aggressively absorbs everything. To keep the colors from "disappearing," we chose screen printing. This allowed for a much heavier ink deposit, ensuring a deep, saturated finish that holds its intensity.

A key design choice by was to die-cut the logo directly through the material. We executed this by removing the surface entirely at the mark, turning the identity into a structural part of the packaging, rather than just a graphic layer.

What do you think of this tactile approach?

Best of Show. One award, across all categories, for the single strongest packaging project at this year's @
NACD Packaging Awards in North America. It went to Poetica Distillery. We printed the labels. 🏆
The concept by Rijeka agency Fabula: a bottle shaped like a book, poetry on the inside of the label, hidden until the bottle empties. For us, that meant interior printing with tight registration and materials that survive the bottling line. The kind of work where nobody notices — unless it goes wrong.
Congratulations to the full team: , .com.hr , and . ✨

When Vapore Distillery approached us to bring their label to life, the brief was clear: the bottle speaks, and label must answer. That conversation happens in color.

Colorimetry in luxury label production is not just a technicality. It is the factor that makes a difference between a label that sits on a shelf and one that commands it.
Here is what most people don't realize: a label is never seen in isolation. It wraps a bottle. It reflects light differently depending on glass tint, surface finish, and ambient lighting conditions. A color that looks perfect on paper can shift dramatically against dark green glass, amber spirit, or frosted crystal.

For Vapore, we matched:
▪ The muted sage green of the bottle to the label's metallic base
▪ The warm copper tone to the aged spirit visible through the glass
▪ The industrial, textured aesthetic — rivet patterns, patina effect — without losing print fidelity at scale

The result is not a label on a bottle. It is a bottle that became whole...
Tajna luksuza ne leži u cijeni etikete, već u tome da se ništa ne prepušta slučaju, posebice boja. ..

Most days, we produce labels for other people’s products. This time, we made the product itself.

We spent the day at the distillery of our long-time partner and friend, Aura. Instead of discussing materials and print runs, we were selecting botanicals and cooking our first gin. Seeing production from the other side changes your perspective quickly and makes you think differently about every step in the process.

Then we switched roles within our own team. Production moved into administration. Finance stepped into production. Logistics tried graphic preparation. It was practical, slightly chaotic, and very honest. When you experience someone else’s daily tasks, you understand their pressure points much better.

The workshop on team roles was led by sports psychologist Matej Tomazin, whom we sincerely thank for the guidance and structure he brought to the day.

We finished with Aura tastings, a long lunch at Ročka konoba, and a lot of good conversations.

Sometimes it helps to stand on the other side of production.

An urgent inquiry landed in our inbox. A new client, a specialty material, and a deadline that had effectively already passed.

We sourced a fabric-based velour material directly from the factory, ordered a custom cutting-die tool, and aligned every production step with precision. Then reality intervened. A transportation strike in the country of origin delayed the shipment. Once the material arrived, another issue surfaced. The technical documentation provided by the manufacturer was incorrect. The material was significantly thicker than specified, and the cutting die simply could not perform as designed.

With holidays approaching and no time left to wait for another tool, we returned to craftsmanship. Labels were cut manually. Dimensions were verified on filled bottles. Test applications were carried out by hand to ensure proper fit and adhesion. When even the labeling machine could not handle such a rigid material, the final decision was made together with the client. The labels would be applied manually.

The project was delivered not because conditions were perfect, but because communication was transparent, decisions were made quickly, and trust held the entire process together.
