Kontrast Kontrast is a small design company based in Zagreb, Croatia. Kontrast is a small design company, founded by Vladimir Bogdanić in September of 2012.

Founded in 2012 and currently a one man operation, the ultimate goal is to create simple and usable websites with a unique design and feel. Currently based in the center of Zagreb, Croatia. The goal of the company is to create simple and usable websites with a unique design and feel while also using the latest technologies available. This involves the four key principles below:

Identity
There are

hundreds of thousands of free templates and out there. Anyone can get a website up and running in no time. Being unique and standing out is much more important now than it was before. Through proper communication with the client I can craft a design that makes people remember what your website is about and not confuse it with another site they saw last week. Usability
The user always comes first, anywhere. Having a responsive layout in the era of tablets and smartphones is a must. The design also has to reflect this, content is king. Gone are the days of non-semantic code and sluggish flash interfaces. HTML5 and CSS3 are here and now. Ads are ok only if they are highly relevant to the content and non-intrusive to the user. Flexibility
Projects change and evolve over time. Implementing an unplanned feature should not be an additional challenge. This is why I have settled on using Expression Engine as the platform for all my projects. I have yet to run into a situation where a client wants something that cannot be done with it. It is flexible, scalable and fast. Maintainability
Running websites takes a dedicated person with enough time and a clear vision on what's important. A lot of people rush into a website thinking it will run itself and there is nothing worse than having a freshly made site go inactive or have empty sections and features. Lets put a stop to it!
