“An entrepreneur tends to bite off a little more than he can chew hoping he’ll quickly learn how to chew it.”

As an entrepreneur, you have to know that it's OK that you don’t always know what you are doing. The truth is, you’ll never be completely ready and able to anticipate every single thing that is going to happen. And sure, it might feel overwhelming, but you will have to become OK with making MISTAKES and LEARNING as you go!

However, having a MAP is is HELPFUL because you have to know where you want to go. Creating monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans will help you TRACK your PROGRESS and milestones!

Besides having a business plan, you can also use project management tools like Trello to help you navigate through different projects.

But, as NLP trainers say, the map is not the territory! In other words, there will always be unforeseeable things along the way, uneasy choices, obstacles, and pitfalls.

In the end, it is important to BE CONFIDENT in your skills and abilities to figure out the problems as you go and do what others are afraid to do - And that is to STOP re-evaluating your plan and keep PUSHING forward!

Did you ever encounter those pitfalls, and how did you get out of them? I would love to hear your story!

💡 Google search console is a free tool from Google that you should use in order to analyze and optimize your website.

Why you should use it?

✅ It will give you an overview of which queries bring most impressions and clicks to your website

✅ It will show you which pages are driving the most clicks

✅ Where your audience comes from

✅ Which devices your audience is using in order to browse your website

✅ You can use GSC to find technical issues on your website and fix them

✅ You can check your mobile usability

✅ You can upload your website sitemaps in order for Google to understand your website better and crawl it more intelligently

💡 If you fix all the issues on your website that Google search console suggests fixing, if your website is user-friendly, fast, easy to navigate, and if you upload sitemaps to Google search console, then your website will end up ranking higher for all different search terms and drive more traffic back to your website.

➡️ Would you like the tutorial on how to install and setup the Google search console?

💡 CPM or Cost Per Mille, Mille meaning “thousand” in Latin, is a popular marketing metric that tells you how much you are paying for 1.000 ad impressions. In this case, we are mostly talking about visual ads such as banners or videos.

➡️ Most advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, or LinkedIn Ads allow you to choose if you want to be charged per click or per impression. Choosing to be charged per impression is a great choice if you are building brand awareness or want to have a greater audience reach.

➡️ The average CPM can vary based on the ad network, but also industry, your placements – meaning where your ads are shown and the positions (for example, some ad formats and positions on web pages are more expensive than the others).

💡 Premium placements and formats mean more expensive CPM where you can expect to pay up to 50$ per 1.000 ad impressions. But on average you`ll pay CPM somewhere between 5$ - 10$ per 1.000 impressions.

➡️ Example: Dentists office runs Display Ads campaign with $300 budget. For $300 dentist's office can get 700,000 impressions. So what is their CPM?

CPM = (Ad spend/Impressions)*1.000
CPM= 0.43$

➡️ We already talked about SEM where you as the advertiser or business owner have to pay for your website to appear in search engine results.

➡️ SEO, on the other hand, refers to search engine optimization.

💡 To put it in more understandable terms – it includes the optimization of your website and your website's content in order for it to appear in search engine results organically (without paying money).

💡 In other words, we are talking about paid advertising vs organic listings.

➡️ So which should you use?

➡️ You might think "Why should I pay for ads when I can just optimize my website and have free clicks?" - But you should know that SEO is not that easy to do.

➡️ SEO takes both time and effort in order for your website to rank. And the higher and better the competition (quality and content-wise) the harder it will be.

✅ So – the final verdict! You should still utilize On-Page and technical SEO tactics on your website, and write high-quality content for your pages and blog as well.

✅ It will boost your SEO but also it will also make your SEM more efficient. Why?

💡 High-quality web content, longer time on page, and more relevancy will result in a better “Quality Score” which can get you cheaper clicks and more conversions.

➡️ We will talk about all aspects of quality score, On-Page, and Off-Page as well as technical SEO in future posts.

➡️ Do you use SEO and SEM as a part of your strategy? And how do you use them?

➡️ “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” ~ Unknown

➡️ In today's world we are all faced with major societal challenges such as COVID-19, climate change, poverty, and rising unemployment.

➡️ Think about the ways you as an entrepreneur and your company can serve your community to address those issues.

✅ You can do that through education and advice that you can share through content on your blog or social media, pro-bono services for those in need, or implementing some other aspect of social entrepreneurship to your business model such as donating part of your profits to the cause your brand resonates with.

💡 But it all starts with writing a firm mission statement, being unique in your approach, and finding the cause your brand really resonates with.

❓ What does your mission statement look like? Are you donating some of your profits? Share your story in the comments below.

➡️ Most of the businesses create their web pages and expect their businesses to get ranked and grow on their own based on little to no content that they put online. Usually, that content is in short form and not original (copy-pasted).

➡️ But in order to get ranked for the keywords you'd like, new and high-quality content needs to be created consistently.

So, what can you do? Here is your action plan:

✔️ Determine the keywords you`d like to rank for. They should be based on topics/categories or services/solutions you provide (You can use Google Keyword Planner Tool to discover them).
✔️ Decide on how many blog posts can you realistically produce on a monthly basis
✔️ Create a content calendar where you will define which types of content will be posted on which day
✔️ Make sure your blog posts are at least 1.200+ words long
✔️ Make sure your blog posts are original, focus on customers pain points, educate and focus on providing more value than your competitors
✔️ Interlink your blog posts with one another to retain customer on your website
✔️ Repurpose blog posts to fit the format of each network
✔️ Share them on social media and boost them to your desired audiences to get faster exposure

💡 And most important of all – update your old blog posts with new and relevant data!

💡 And remember, results take time. If you are consistent and your content is high quality and provides value, organic traffic will start coming! The average time it takes for a new blog to get traction in the search engines is around 3 to 6 months.

❓ Around what do you base your content strategy? Are you using keyword research? Audience data? Rely on copying competitors? Or something entirely different? Share your experience below! 👇

💡 KPI stands for Key Performance Indicator. When we are talking about KPIs in digital marketing then KPIs are values you can accurately measure in order to monitor the performance of your digital marketing campaigns.

➡️ But KPIs can be used for business, marketing, or even your personal life.

➡️ We look at KPIs over time in order to see if our progress is advancing or decreasing.

💡 Example: Cosmetic surgeons

➡️ If you are a cosmetic surgeon and you are running ads in order to drive more monthly leads including phone calls, appointment bookings, or contact form submissions. In this case, your KPI is “Lead per month”.

➡️ In this example, you should focus on how many leads per month do you get and from which channel or activities. Then you can optimize your strategy and concentrate on activities that drive the most leads and focus on them.

➡️ You can also compare KPIs to the budget/cost to see which channels bring you the best quality leads for the dollar you invested.

Tips:
✅ Track 1 major KPI like leads
✅ Always use same time span: monthly or quarterly data
✅ Understand factors that lead to the growth or decline of a KPI
✅ Use KPI data for future marketing strategies

💡 Other KPI examples: Revenue, profit, lifetime value of a customer, phone calls, contacts, sales, social media followers, contacts, total website traffic, bookings, downloads, cost per lead, organic traffic, video views, etc.

💡 What KPIs are you measuring in order to monitor the performance of your marketing campaigns?

14/02/2021

➡️ Today I am going to talk about the very important factor which should be considered before all if success in the digital world is what you desire and that is: keyword research!

➡️ Your potential customers are constantly using search engines where they type keywords related to your products and services.

💡 In order to find out what those keywords are you should be using Google Keyword Planner

We are going to talk about how to:
✅ find those keywords,
✅ why you should use long-tail keywords,
✅ what are keywords with buying intent,
✅ and additional ways you can use the Keyword Planner tool for your business

And this only barely touches the surface of what can be done ❗

💡 In the last post we talked about what SEM is, and today I would like to give some advice to all business owners on why SEM should be an important tool in your marketing arsenal.

➡️ As a business owner, you know how important it is to present your product or service to your target audience. In the past, in order to do so, you would have to pay for television, radio, or newspaper ads. And while ads on those media have a great reach, they are put in front of consumers no matter if they are currently in need of your product or service or not.

✅ The main difference of SEM when compared to traditional advertising is that your ads are only shown when your potential customer is actively searching for your product or service by using keywords. That is the reason why keyword research plays such an important role in the whole process.

❗ If you do not know in what stage of the buyer's journey your potential customer is, or you’re not utilizing long-tail keywords and keywords with buying intent your advertising efforts might fail.

✅ But that also brings us to the second advantage of SEM and that is measurability.

➡️ Even if you make a mistake SEM makes it easy to track success through Ad platforms and Analytics.

✅ You`ll be able to know which keywords bring conversions and which don`t, you'll have control over budget, you'll be able to track your cost per acquisition (CPA), return on investment (ROI), and ultimately optimize and grow your revenue and increase profit margin.

➡️ Do you plan on using SEM or is content marketing and SEO more your groove?

❌ Many entrepreneurs fall into trap of doing what so many others are doing. I see that a lot in the digital marketing space, but especially in dropshipping and e-commerce space where people rely purely on data and offering a product that is beginning to trend with the same features as everyone else and they expect success.

❌ Don’t rely on proven formulas that will “guarantee” your success!

✅ Instead, try building your brand by addressing real problems people have and offering solutions better than anyone else. Build your brand through storytelling and have a strong mission.

➡️ Being an entrepreneur takes self-belief, commitment, and the ability to keep going and refining again and again. There is no one proven formula for success, but you should know that if you want to jump from “wantrepreneur” to entrepreneur that you will simply have to be the best and work at it.

✅ Ways you can achieve that is providing better quality service or a product (Just see where others are failing!), have better customer support, have unique and better-quality content than your competitors, have a unique mission, think about social impact and be there to serve and solve your target audiences problems better than anyone else.

💡 You cannot achieve greatness while doing what others are doing.

08/02/2021

💡 I can say that 90% of my current clients have been running some kind of digital marketing campaigns on their own before we met and started working together. And their overall satisfaction with the results of those campaigns was really poor making them doubt that anything can be done with digital marketing. If you fall into this category, continue reading.

➡️ In order to create a successful digital marketing campaign, time needs to be invested in market research. So, you all are probably wondering, how did those unsuccessful campaigns look like? Usually, those campaigns would have only one ad group with tons of keywords in it – all randomly suggested by Google algorithm or by the client based on how they thought keywords worked.

➡️ Those campaigns had no ad-group or keyword segmentation, separate landing pages, budgeting, conversion tracking, or remarketing and were only using broad match terms that, and more often than not, had little to do with their business.

So, of course, their campaigns were failing and underperforming.
But today I am going to talk about the very important factor which should be considered before all if success in the digital world is what you desire and that is: keyword research ❗

✅ Your potential customers are constantly using search engines where they type keywords related to your products and services.

➡️ In order to find out what those keywords are you should be using Google Keyword Planner (refer to the older post about Keyword planner)

➡️ By going to the "Discover New Keywords" section and entering the main term that describes your product or service, Google Keyword Planner will generate the list of keyword ideas based around that term.

But as we said not all keywords are created equally.

💡 When creating campaigns, you should focus on keyword segmentation. Each service or product category should have its own ad group with its own set of keywords. That will guaranty a higher quality score, relevancy, and performance.

Also, you should focus on long-tail keywords with the low-medium competition but with enough search volume.

➡️ If you are focused on conversions make sure that your long-tail keywords have buying intent (eg. "Men’s Black Adidas Performer Shoes + Buy Online").

➡️ With Google keyword planner you can see if your product has any seasonality around it and in which months should you plan additional campaigns around it.

💡 One additional benefit of the Google Keyword Planner is that you can use search volume and competition data in order to better your website content (SEO) and generate blog posts around keywords with enough monthly search volume!

And this only barely touches the surface of what can be done.

➡️ If you`d like to see a more in-depth YouTube tutorial on how to do keyword research in Google Keyword Planner, leave your comment below and I will be more than happy to help.
