I am not an ambitious person.
I’ve always set the bar a little lower than I knew I could acchieve. Never had sharp elbows. I worked hard, but I never really wanted to win. Never wanted to be the best. What even is the best?
I just wanted to belong.
And that’s what I’ve had to work hardest for.
First belonging to an industry, a scene, a trend, or a crowd.
And later realising none of that mattered to me and then started working ln belonging to the most relevant of all: myself.
I’m not ambitious.
But not being ambitious has never meant not working hard. Now I just hard for very different reasons.
