About 1.5 years ago, I had a slightly uncomfortable realization: I didn’t feel connected to my own brand anymore.
Somewhere along the way, the visual identity I had created stopped reflecting where I was, what I cared about, and how I wanted my work to feel. Thankfully, I caught it before I completely disappeared into the designer version of an existential crisis. ☺️
So I started rebranding my own business — which, honestly, was way harder than branding for clients. (Very strong shoemaker’s children go barefoot energy.)
But now? I can finally say I love it. It feels aligned, personal, and like a natural extension of the brand I’ve grown into.
A few signs your brand might be asking for a refresh too:
– You never feel like posting because something always feels “off”
– You avoid sending your website or Instagram to potential clients
– Everything in your business starts to feel unnecessarily heavy
– Your own visuals somehow feel more like a costume than a reflection of you
The thing is — brands evolve, just like people do. And when your visual world no longer matches who you are, it can quietly start affecting your confidence, clarity, and momentum without you even noticing.
Notice the shift early. Your brand should feel like a home you recognize yourself in.
And if this resonates, feel free to reach out — I’d love to hear your story 🌞
