awakening from a dream.
these last few days were nothing short of magical. not because anything ‘crazy’ happened… but because of the awareness and understanding i was able to cultivate within myself.
the stillness. the peace. the bliss. discovering what happens when you finally just… stop. the chaos. the noise. the clinging. the grasping. the world moves at 1000mph… but that doesn’t mean you have to. this place was something out of a movie. borderline culty. eerily peaceful… but magnificently beautiful. a literal paradise.
i got to learn an ancient practice passed down for centuries - from monks who dedicate their entire lives to understanding the inner workings of the mind - to reach eternal states of happiness without any of the material delicacies the world programs you to desire.
do i necessarily agree with everything? no, i dont. do i think there is invaluable wisdom to be learned from a completely different way of seeing the world? yes, i do.
contrary to Buddhists, i do believe in God. in something bigger - guiding us. connecting us. holding us together. and i believe i was guided here for a reason. to learn, to grow, to see. to gain wisdom and understanding - so i can continue to show up, serve, and be a light for others.
and even though there’s some slight differences in the way i see things - one thing is common:
we’re here to bring peace. to be love. to end suffering. to conquer our minds and transcend the ego. and the key to everything we desire comes from within. by slowing down, quieting the noise, letting go - and being here, now.
because if not. we might wake up one day and realize the most beautiful thing was right in us the entire time.
immensely grateful for all the beautiful people i met during this experience. and i hope everyone can experience the love that is already within you - when you slow down long enough to see.
much love
❤️
