For someone that was used to getting clients through word-of-mouth and referrals, I quickly realised that this is not the way for scalable growth.

Referrals are limited and it dries out quickly.

Most importantly, it is out of my control.

For my business to grow, I need to have a consistent flow of new enquiries, right?

As a recovering control freak, it still gives me joy at how much I am in control of my ads. From budget, age, location, interest, etc.

And if any customer segment is dried out, it lets you tap into a market that you would otherwise have difficulty in reaching.

I don't know about you, but I am not limiting myself to what I already know.

Engagement metric, e.g. likes, comments, shares, stopped mattering so much because all I care about is SALES.

I'm not saying they're not important, but if you're in a position of needing revenue, engagement is not as good as actual bookings. So I geared up my strategy to be laser focused on that.

As with everything, doing paid ads doesn't have to be as scary as you once thought.
โ
It's a tool.
โ
Use it to get what you want.
โ
And if it changed my business and others, who's to say it can't change yours?
