3 years of late nights & early mornings.

Mixing paint by hand to find the perfect mix, searching the island for bespoke materials, carving the stone piece by piece for our feature wall.

Every time there was an easy simple way, we seemed to choose the hard way and the consequence of that is that the project took longer and cost more than we originally anticipated.

But as we open the doors to the public at and see the magic that is captured through the lens in a photography studio that we dreamed up, designed on pen and paper and brought to life one decision after another — playing the role of designer, architect and project manager all while running a creative agency & a school we couldn’t be more proud.

It’s official, the Indonesian government has just announced new visas for anyone to join an internship in Bali and we couldn’t be more excited.

Internships are a way to take everything you’ve learned at school or university or through a bootcamp and put it into practice, getting practical experience & mentorship in the field.

We’re going to be offering 4x internships open to candidates from all over the world to spend 3-6 months in Bali learning from our team… you’ll get an inside scoop into running a creative agency , and a photography studio & events space .

Applications are opening soon with more details to come, so for now if you’re interested comment below “intern” or tell us why you’d love to intern in Bali with us and we’ll share all the details with you as soon as they are released.

We’ll only be taking one one intern for each field to ensure our team has the time to provide our interns with mentorship & support — if you want an internship where you sit on your phone and order coffee for the team, this isn’t it. You’ll be in the action on real client photoshoots, seeing behind the scenes of everything and learning alongside creatives with years of experience.

Dates:
Internship duration is 3-6 months and can be part of a university program or independent, exact dates flexible for the right candidate.

I had a call with one of students recently, she was adapting to life with a new baby and while the web dev business she has built was already supporting her, she wanted to explore how she could increase her income without spending any more time.

This is one of my favourite topics so we dove in, discussing everything from how she could refine her niche, attract higher calibre clients, and streamline her process to finish each project faster. But the topic that left the most impact, that she hasn’t considered before was how she could leverage strategic partnerships and referrals to add passive income every month.

For her, this meant finding partners she trusted that had skills or time she didn’t to recommend to her clients (copywriter, graphic designer, photographer, SEO or ads expert etc) and earning a commission for every referral.

And while this is something anyone who has a creative business can do, it’s also something you can tap into *before* you even start a business - find trusted partners to recommend, they do the work and you get paid.

There are loads of businesses out there doing amazing work that will happily pay a commission for any clients you refer, and often you already have a network of potential clients to choose from.

One of our alumni has even made this their entire business - they go in to businesses as a consultant with a high level audit of what the business needs, and then they recommend the people, businesses & tools to make it happen.

So next Wednesday we’re hosting a free workshop teaching you how to do the same - with real examples of referral programs that you can join. For our alumni, you can watch it on demand whenever you like and for our broader community we’ll share free access for one day only.

Nine months ago we set out to completely revamp the business portion of our creative digital bootcamps. We had designed the curriculum only a few years earlier to be timeless, and while everything we taught is just as relevant today as it was the day we filmed it, there was something missing. In the last few years the world has changed.

AI has flipped the script on everything — from how you pitch your worth and communicate the value of human talent to potential clients, to the way you manage projects and run your business. It can be used across almost every stage of the creative workflow and, when used well, it’s a superpower that takes care of the grunt work and frees up your time to focus on what you do best.

There is so much fear out there that AI will steal our jobs. And while it’s true that industries are being shaken up, I don’t believe it’s an inevitable threat. Over the past few months we’ve rebuilt our business curriculum from scratch to show every aspiring photographer, web developer and marketer who joins one of our courses how to turn AI from a potential threat into an opportunity.

The new curriculum is more hands-on, more practical, and shows you step by step how we built our business, landed clients, managed projects and more.

Entirely new business lessons launch in our October bootcamps, and as always, every single one of our alumni will receive free access to the updates.

When Emilio & I were young we made a promise to ourselves that no matter how busy life got we would always find ways to spark joy, to chase adventure and to be in the moment.

Running our own business gave us the freedom to to that - to prioritise experiences over things, book spontaneous trips where we can work remotely (to South America, Italy, Japan, Thailand and many more), and always make time for the people we love and the projects that inspire us.

So to celebrate 10 years since we had the idea that seemed a little crazy at the time - to launch an immersive bootcamp that could teach people everything they needed to know to start a thriving creative business in under 3 months we wanted to give back to the community that has supported us over the years and show our support for you.

“Those two days changed my life.

I had never considered a career in web dev, to be honest I didn’t really even know what coding was but a friend forwarded me your website in a weekend challenge and I thought hey why not give it a shot?

It’s not an exaggeration to say that those two days changed my life. They sparked a fire in me for coding and I fell in love with it from the very first lines I wrote. By the end of the weekend I wasn’t just hooked I was excited - something I hadn’t felt about my 9-to-5 job in a very long time.

I was nervous to take a new passion and turn it into a career but I decided that’s life’s too short, so I enrolled in the digital bootcamp and the rest is history. I get to wake up every day and do something creative I love, and get paid for it. I’m working with the best clients and my business is growing and if it wasn’t for that two day weekend of coding I would probably still be stuck in a cubicle… so thank you.”
