Milestone Wins Three Awards for Brand Consultancy

It’s another milestone for MILESTONE! Milestone has been named Brand Consultancy of the Year for the second year in a row in Global Brand Excellence Awards 2019 and awarded Bronze & Local Hero Award in Agency of the Year Awards 2019 for Brand Consultancy of the Year category. Both events took place on October 24th, and they were held by two different institutions.

Global Brand Excellence Awards is hosted by World Brand Congress 29th, and was held this year in Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel. It aims to acknowledge some of the most successful brands with an outstanding track record of their contribution to the industry. It has become an opportunity for people to share insights discussing how, with strategy and creativity, they are going to push the business of branding, advertising, and marketing forward. Meanwhile, Agency of the Year Awards is an event initiated by Marketing Interactive, Asia’s leading source of advertising, marketing, and media. This is the second year of the Indonesian edition of this award. Many different components of evaluation were taken into account: from business performance and successful campaigns to staff satisfaction.

These awards may represent Milestone and its more than fifteen-year stories. However, while the trophies and prize stand for all the fun and win we have, there is one thing that spells success for us. It is our clients. They are our real success, they are the winners.

Brand Strategist

Responsibilities of this job will include implementing strategies that will raise the standard level of agency work across the client brand. The candidate will be expected to be able to write briefs, brief in the requirements properly to the creative team and liaise with the client servicing team to ensure that consumer attitudes and needs are thought of at the beginning of the campaign.

Job Description:

- Establish good working relationship with clients’ brands.
- Creating a strategic plan for brands.
- Responsibility for day to day management of all research relating to the brand and advertising.
- Develop brand strategies, including the positioning, value proposition, brand idea and personality
- Proactively suggest new means of developing and understanding the brand
- Ability to clearly articulate a strategic vision in a confident and persuasive manner to clients and teams
- Analyzing existing data in areas such as demographics, socio-economics and the market for the client's product
- Commissioning research as required to inform the strategy using both qualitative methods such as focus group discussions and structured interviews and quantitative methods such as demographic profiling and questionnaires
- Monitoring cultural and social trends, and their impact on consumers' attitudes, behavior and perceptions
- Reconciling the differences between consumers' current perception of the brand and the way in which the client wishes the brand to be perceived
- Meeting clients to learn the background to the brand.
- Providing the creative team with a clearly defined brief that contains concise information on the product, audience and strategy
- Preparing and presenting full communication strategies in a coherent and in-depth manner to positively impact the thinking of all parties involved in the communication activities.

With patience and perseverance have we refrained ourselves for the past month. Now we look back how far we have been. As we welcome the long waited Ramadan, in retrospect of yesterday, we think of the joy and warmth we’ve had with our loved ones. This holy month is a time for change, for us to seek betterment; peace of mind, self-control, and sense of accomplishment. We are drawn back to the Almighty One in earnest devotion to His benevolence.
In the observance of Eid al-Fitr, our office will be closed from May 30th– June 9th 2019 inclusive. We will resume normal business hours Monday, June 10th 2019.
