Closing the year is always a good time to reflect on your progress.

One key question I always ask is: is your cash balance at least equal to or greater than your profits?

I have just uploaded a tool to help you maximize your cash so you can take money out of your business regularly (for YOU) while still growing your business.

It shows how to make a simple tweak in your business so you can maximize your monthly cash, know your business progress simpler, and make better decisions…

Tomorrow I’ll be going LIVE at 11.0AM to give you an overview of exactly how this works.

Entering a new year, most people make resolutions.

How about mapping out your year instead so you are clear on how to:

1. Map out your business drivers to grow your business consistently.
2. Map out your life drivers so you can live your ideal life.
3. Map out your growth drivers to make sure you can do what you are supposed to do…

Tomorrow I’ll be going LIVE to give you an overview of exactly how this works. Comment “PLAN” below or DM us if you’d like to join.

Would you like to make 2022 your best year ever?

Of course, you do!

Here’s a follow-up question...

Do you have next year mapped out yet?

If you’re thinking...

“You know Marvin, I’m not a natural planner.”

Well, guess what?

Neither am I! Fortunately for you, planning is a skill you can learn.

I remember exactly around this time last year, at the height of the pandemic, my coach asked me how I planned my year.

I told him that I used to over-plan and then nothing worked out right, and as a result I just got into the habit of planning some key dates and some business targets…

So he sat me down and guided me for an hour…

Guess what?

It literally CHANGED my life.

Being able to plan your year out in one go and then just do what you planned for the next year is very liberating.

And it was such a relief

It gave me a sense of FULL control over my year.

But it took a change of mindset, and of belief...

And it was worth it!

Now, I want to help you do the same.

You see, planning is very much like setting your cycling or running route for 2022. The moment you come back from your holiday, you just get on your bike and cruise along.

No need to figure out where to go next.

If you feel like planning is an overwhelming task…

Well, I’ve got your back.

I’m going to be hosting Map Out Your Year™ - a training program that’ll specifically help you plan your 2022. The key learnings include:

1. How to map out your Pathway to Profit to grow your business month on month.
2. The list of 3’s that’ll define what you’ll keep and stop doing.
3. The 5 keys to help you run 2022 by design - not by default.

I don’t know about you, but just talking about this gets me EXCITED for next year.

I hope you’re ready to crush 2022!

If you want to know more about the Map Out Your Year™ training…

Comment “PLAN” below. I’ll make sure you get a copy of all the training materials.

Today's coaching question is about Sales Cadence.

"What else is there to do if we already have things in place, are doing the right things BUT not on track to achieve our targets?"

Interesting question and not an uncommon one.

There are a few things here that jumps out straight away as what could be don.

1. Everything we are doing is right and we expect to keep doing the same things yet to get different results....

A more empowering mindset would be: "What do I need to change for the results to change?"

2. Even the best at what they do always look at ways they can improve. Are there areas of improvement in how you do things?

3. There are 3 main variables to look at when considering sales potential. The Market (is there real demand with limited supply), your offer (does what you offer completely solve their problem), and your persuasion (are you using the right words, tone and rhythm to move your prospects)

So then, a lot that can be unpacked from that statement - and plenty areas to be looked at for improvement opportunities.

Letting go is not easy. But it does become easier if you have a system in place.

Like most parents, I have found the combination of Work From Home and School From Home to be challenging.

Our youngest started elementary school this July. And we have worried over the holidays about how he can handle the new learning demands.

Sure enough, keeping him focused during Zoom calls alone was frustrating. Especially when we have to try to get our work done too.

To get him used to doing homework was something else...

Until one day.

Both my wife and I had no option but to do our work when he had class that day. So we both had to focus on our own work, asked him to ask his teacher if he didn't understand anything and hoped that he would be okay.

Well, he taught us a thing or two that day.

As we gave him space and more autonomy, he took more responsibility of his learning. He asked more questions than ever before and became more involved.

What a reminder to trust both him and his teachers that there's a process that they go through to develop. And also to step back, monitor, and support when necessary.

Definitely makes combining WFH and SFH so much easier. It’s also been such a pleasure to see this young man grow and develop.

Do you have a trusted system for development and therefore, for letting go in your company?

We have a couple of seats left for our upcoming business planning & growth workshop…

If you’re still on the fence about grabbing a guest spot, I have a quick little piece of trivia that might help you make up your mind.

Every time we do this planning & growth workshop with our clients, we ask them to share their biggest wins that they achieved in the last two months as a result of learnings or planning in the workshop.

What were some of the highlights?

Last cycle, one client surpassed his quarterly inbound leads AND revenue target ahead of schedule within a month after the workshop!

Another signed their largest account ever a couple of weeks immediately after the workshop...

While a third excitedly reported positive cashflow again after several negative quarters due to the pandemic.

Pretty awesome, right?

And now we're going to make the process even simpler for our clients to build for long-term sustainable growth.

With the next workshop approaching, I’m excited to see what amazing growth lies ahead.

And what goals our clients will smash this time!

So... get off the fence and join us!

This week’s coaching question came from an executive of a company:

”How do I ensure that my recruitment needs are met by HR once I hand it over to them?”

Great question.

The interesting thing about that question for me was actually the choice of words…

They are very territorial in nature.

“I”, “my” and “them”.

No “us”...

What words do you and your team use most?

Is it more “them” than “us”

Is it more “how can they” than “how can we”?

Is it more “my goals/KPIs” than “our company’s wellbeing”?

What shifts could happen in your organization if more employees think about “we” more than “me”?
