Climbing Mount Agung for sunrise is probably one of the most spectacular outdoor experiences you can do in Bali. It is the highest point on the island, one that grants views of the very outlines of the meandering coastline, above the clouds. Breathtaking – in more ways than one! – battling this great, active volcano through night and day is a rewarding challenge for any nature and adventure lover out there. But, be warned, trekking Mount Agung is no easy feat, and anyone looking to ascend this holy mountain should be wholly prepared.

ITINERARY:
23:00 to 00:00: pick up at your hotel, pick up time depends by your stay location in Bali.
1:45: Arrive at the start point Pasar Agung Temple. You will get short briefing about standard procedure before start the trek.
2:00: Start the trip to the summit and sunrise point.
6:00: Around this time you will arrive at the peak, where we watched a spectacular view and sunrise and served your breakfast.
7:30: Go down and go back to the start point
11:00: Trekking is done and you will dropping back to your hotel
(Totally hike time with this start point about 7 to 8 hours)

It was like the view from a plane window, the whole of Bali spread out below me. Clouds swirled round the peak of Mount Agung. The caldera of Mount Batur was below me, the lake shining under the light of the morning sun. I sat down, my muscles still aching from hiking Mount Agung and soaked up the view.
