🕕 Running a webinar or virtual workshop?

Using a visible countdown timer in OBS is one of the easiest ways to keep things tight, whether it's for a quick break, a timed exercise, or your opening warm-up.

I use a 5-minute timer to get people settled and a 10-minute timer for breaks. One button on the Stream Deck fades everything out, shows the timer, and tucks the logo in the corner. Simple, smooth, and clear for everyone watching.

But here’s the thing: OBS only comes with one default timer script.
If you want multiple timers, you’ll need to duplicate and rename the script, for example, “5-min” and “10-min.”

It’s easy once you know how.

I’ve put together a short step-by-step guide showing exactly how to do it, including how to set it up with your Stream Deck.

Here’s how to do it:

Add your slide deck into OBS (Window or Display Capture)
Apply the 3D Transform filter (it’s free)
Set the Y rotation to -2%
That’s it.

Simple change, huge upgrade.

One button. Total control.

One of my favorite Stream Deck tricks? The Multi-Action button.

Let me show you why it’s a game-changer.

I tap a button called “Warm Up” and boom:

🎵 Music fades in

🎤 My branded overlay appears

🌀 A logo animation kicks in

It sets the stage—smoothly and instantly.

Then I press another button:

Overlay fades out

Music fades away

Logo tucks neatly into the corner

All of that with one button press each.

No frantic clicking. No awkward transitions. Just a clean, pro-grade flow—every single time.

This is what Multi-Action is all about:
✅ Launch multiple effects or scene changes in one tap
✅ Add timing delays to sequence your flow
✅ Save screen space on your Stream Deck (one smart button instead of five)

I use it at the start of every webinar to create a polished, on-brand intro in seconds.
