This has been an unusual week - I've met 5 people who are 'out the door' with work many of them scheduling work into February of next year. There are very few environmental impacts that don't bode well for some sectors of our business world and those who dare to diversify, or just happen to be in the right business, reap the rewards.

Businesses that are booming now include tradesmen, home improvement builders and providers, windows & doors suppliers, car maintenance garages, courier companies, warehousing and distribution and of course food.

We have just heard that Cavan and Monaghan Local Enterprise Offices are currently recruiting for a local cluster of approximately 20 small businesses (10 each).

Businesses in the District and adjoining border areas are encouraged to register their interest in the Eastern and Border region of the licensed PLATO network.

It is anticipated the Cavan-Monaghan Network will commence September 2017-June 2018 (10-months).

Our waterways are one of our greatest natural resources and provide endless hours of pleasure for those who love boating and fishing.
