Well, this feels like a big moment! I’m thrilled (and a little humbled) to share that I’ve stepped into the role of Vice President of

I thought I’d share a little bit of what I said in my speech—as it took me some time to put together, and it really comes from the heart. Although I wasn’t nervous to speak, I felt emotional. My voice even shook as I recounted my own journey—it’s much easier to talk about other things than about ourselves and our emotions, isn’t it? But of course, all I could feel in the Council chambers today was support.

When I joined in 2020, I will admit I hesitated at first. I was afraid I wouldn’t fit in or that my business wasn’t big enough. But looking back, there’s one thing I always think: “I wish I had done it sooner.” Today feels like a full circle moment with finishing in her role as Ex-Officio as Ingrid was the only person I knew and the reason I joined, as well as the reason I joined the committee.

This network has been the friend I never knew I needed. It’s supported me through challenges, celebrated my successes, and shown me that it’s about so much more than professional opportunities. It’s personal!

Confidence is something this network has given me. When I first joined, I didn’t see myself as someone who would ever step into a leadership role. But this network helped me find my voice, dare to put my head above the parapet, and finally feel like I deserved a seat at the table. That’s the confidence I hope to inspire in every member as I take on this role and, in time, the presidency.

This past year under leadership has been inspiring, and working on small teams with , and Dara OShea over the last two years have taught me how rewarding it is to come together as part of the network committee.

I’m looking forward to working alongside and the new committee as we take on the year ahead.

Here’s to confidence, connection, and the friendships we never knew we needed.

What’s that you ask?
Yes it is my graduation hat for tomorrow on top of today’s paper with my name on it as one of the finalists for awards in a couple of weeks.

So, I had a busy day designing packaging for one of my favourite clients who is expanding her business and some stationery for a recent branding project, followed by a surprise shopping marathon with 9 little girls.

I got an email to congratulate me on making the finals of the awards, collected my graduation gown for the big day tomorrow at graduating with my masters, and found out that the fabulous Elaine Duggan had a feature on all of the finalists in the .ie

Phew! What a day. Although not all busy days end on such a high note, it is the normal busy days that help to shape these successes I believe.

Congratulations to all of the entrants and finalists of The Club and to my fellow graduands for tomorrow. Looking forward to both celebrations of achievement.

I was the proud winner in 2022 of the Cork Branch 'power within' category and came highly commended at National Level.

Christmas time doesn’t get much better than a Christmas party at with the ladies from

Ingrid Seim was my inspiration for joining the group, knowing I would see a friendly face, and it’s so wonderful to see her as our new president- it suits her. I felt that now was the time for me to give back some of that support and am now on the team as the shiny new website officer.

Susana Mariambo of is a positive force of nature and will be an amazing right hand woman for Ingrid.

Well done to the outgoing president on a great year. It was a year that brought us right back into the room, and one I will always remember having won in at branch level in May and representing the branch at the national awards in October.

And great to meet so many members that I felt like I knew last night like who I have followed online for ages now, and she’s even better in person.

Last of the mentions goes to my own husband who was the only man in the room last night, but it didn’t phase him one bit. He has always been a keen supporter of the organisation and am happy to have him by my side for the journey it will be this coming year.

It’s always a great sign when you see your clients as friends after the project has finished. I was proud of my new friend Jackie from launching her two new products last Friday night.

I have been involved with the project from the beginning- designing the logo, the label, the box packaging, stationery and other branded materials.

It was so lovely to meet Justine from who hosted the launch party and is stocking the products.

It’s a beautiful space with local and Irish products and design, and bustling with members of the local community who all know Justine well.

Being involved in this project has been a real lesson in how women in business can support each other and how communities can get together to back each other.

Another happy client today after collecting her packaging for her beautiful new products. I was happy to be a part of the start-up journey by creating the branding for as well as the label design and the box packaging design for the products.
