NEW ASAI GUIDELINES- “If in doubt, label it”

There has been an important update to the guidelines around promotional content! Using hashtags such as must now ALSO be flagged under

Going forward this hashtag must be used in any promotional content - be it paid / unpaid / gifted.

My recommendation: Use the former applicable hashtag e.g FOLLOWED by so there is an understanding of what kind of promotion is taking place.

If you’re a creator it’s imperative to use going forward. The more we all use one process, the more trust will be built regarding the content creator & influencer industry.

My biggest learnings for working with brands as a content creator:

👉 Choose your collaborations wisely
👉 Trust your gut - if you think that the brief should be changed, suggest what you feel will work best
👉 ALWAYS prepare for edits & reshoots - add extra hours to your schedule so you can get this done
👉 It’s better to only take on a few ads and do them well than to burn yourself out and take too many on
👉 Make notes on your phone of brands you want to work with and make it known
👉 The best preforming ads are the ones that fit into the content you’re already sharing on your page
👉 Strive for high engagement instead of reach

Happy 🎉🥳 Today is a very important day to celebrate women but also to openly talk about the challenges we still face and what can be done to have more equality 💪

If you hear or see misogyny, stand up and call it out 📣 Do not brush it under the carpet and make excuses 🙅‍♀️

It’s important to lift each other up. It’s important to share our knowledge, our experience and our time 💞

I hope we’re moving in the right direction and no one experiences the things I’ve had said to me and about me in the workplace.

Let’s talk about imagery 📸

You guys know I’m a reels advocate but having beautiful photos can really elevate your page ✨

Her are my top tips:

📸 Use shapes and angles to create interest
📸 Use Lightroom presets to bring colours to life
📸 Create levels in your picture
📸 Be aware of light, think about how you can use shadows to your advantage
📸 Movement in photos creates interest
📸 Be aware of your subject, focus and space
📸 Think about how you can use the surroundings to draw interest to the subject
